Recognizes devices and works surprisingly well.
Good for general go/no-go testing and part identification. An inexpensive addition to my electronics bench.

Useful tool for any electronics hobbyist or trades person
I've tested this with all manner of components, modern and vintage. It does a great job of identifying them and giving the correct pinout for semiconductors. You can watch it test if you hook up an LED -- it will flicker as it determines the polarity and other info. I've tried it with old germanium devices too and it correctly identifies them and gives you the gain.My only complaint would be it's not super accurate with capacitor values, but it's not meant to replace a proper LCR meter. For the price paid, it's a great addition to my basement workshop.

For the price? You need one!
If you thinking about this because it might be handy or even fun, get one! For the price, you need one. AITRIP LCR-T7I ordered primary for checking transistors. I am using it for a lot more! The LCR capability is much better than I expected! As regards accuracy it is surprisingly good but hardly a lab or even bench test instrument, but for parts checking and sorting it is more than accurate enough. I find myself reaching for it often. As soon as I start to squint to read the lettering on a cap, or having trouble deciding if the that decade ring on a blue background is red, brown or orange, stick it in the socket, push the button, and I know. I also have a lot of old transistors with markings long gone. This device almost instantly tells me if they are any good and what they are. Of course if I need to verify a precise value or characterize a device, I need something better and I have it, but that requires too much effort when I just want to know what it is or if it's dead.To be fair it is not terribly robust but it is even more useful than I expected. The first one I received was flaky, I am pretty sure it had a bad battery or some kind of always on power drain as it went wonky after few component tests or just a few hours of no use but it worked fine when connected to a charger. The vendor immediately offered to refund my money, but I had already decided it was useful enough that I just exchanged it via Amazon. The second one is fine,I would recommend it to anyone casually or seriously works on or with electronic components. If/when the second one fails I will repair or replace it!Would buy again.

Worked great, but died after few months at the shelf
Worked great, then stored for few months and now after startup detects zenner diode.

Good for the money
I can't speak to the accuracy but this device it's a quick and easy way to identify unknown electronic components. I am using it to identify components I am salvaging from old equipment prior to recycling. Quickly identifies various type of transistors. Considering its low price, very well worth having. It did not come with any documentation but the user manual is available online; search for LCR-TC2.

Great info from an amazing device!
I purchased this primarily for its ability to show the data from RF remote controls, but the analysis and display of electronic component properties is really nice too. My other RF decoder requires the selection of the chip type, but this one seems to take care of that itself. I have only analyzed about a dozen electronic items, but so far it's been perfect, from simple resistors, inductors, and capacitors to diodes, transistors, and FETs, it's always correct. The only negative I've noticed is its battery's capacity, it seems to include a very small one. I do plan it solder in a larger one, at some point, but as of now I'm getting by with charging it often. That said, it's a very useful tool and I wouldn't go without.

Works well so far
I got this AITRIP TC1 knock-off after my other tester failed, & so far it works pretty well. It's fairly accurate, measures many components. For caps, the cutoff is around 22pF......anything that small(er) just shows as "unknown component". But it will measure small value resistors under 1 ohm. I've measured a few zeners & it has been accurate with those as well. The little leads are cheap & short so caution is necessary, but they're handy when checking certain components like T0-3 transistors. The USB charge lead is only about 7-8" so it's a little awkward to charge it off a standard outlet with wall wart. It does have a red/green charge indicator light so you know when it's charging & when it's at full charge. Not a bad little unit for hobbyists. There are no instructions included, so check out a YT video on this. It's simple, but there are a couple hints to using this unit.
