Its No AC but its Cool
I'd say 2.5 stars. Its better than a wet towel on your head but it's not a miracle product. When I use a wet towel the cold water itself cools me down, as it warms to the room temperature and dries it doesn't feel cool anymore. This chill towel is different because it doesn't adopt the room temperature it stays cool. Of course it drys but it does so slower than a wet towel. That is the only thing that makes it better. It is not 'chill' enough to lower your body temp. Nor does it feel anything like an AC wrapped around your head, I wish. It does make my ears cool, cold, it does make my neck cool and damp enough to cramp my neck muscles, and when the breeze blows into your face it feels like cool air on your face, but its limited to the area around your head and its not cold, its cool. It lasts about 1 hour 40 minutes and dries allot faster when you have a fan blowing on you, which is too bad because that's when it feels the most cool.It is better than the Endura towel, and I will continue to use it but honestly, if I am going to be sitting inside I would prefer to stick my feet in a tub of cold water which actually does lower my body temperature. Also I stored the damp towel in the tube as they suggested and it started to smell mildewy-bad idea. Overall I just don't think it is worth $20, though I bought the less than attractive green one for less. If you have the extra cash and the extra 40, 50 minutes of wet time over a regular towel is worth it, go for it but don't expect too much.

read the reviews and planned accordingly!
Kept me cooler during our trip to Disneyland in August... I would dip it in my ice chest water to get it really cool in the hottest parts of the day. Because it's so wide I cut it in half so my husband could have one too. It was a lifesaver for sure!I did order 2 and one of them had a bit of mildew and I returned that one.The other I washed in the laundry and air dried it. I read the reviews saying it got super stiff when you dry it so I waited until it was nearly dry and then folded it down a bit for easy packing. That worked great!

I am pretty convinced I was much cooler than I would have ...
This towels does seem to keep me cooler. I was outdoors wearing a suit this weekend in 95 degree weather with 50 percent humidity. I wore this town over my shirt but under my suit jacket, draped over both shoulders. I am pretty convinced I was much cooler than I would have been without it during the entire hour I wore the suit. I'm not entirely sure how much longer it would have lasted than that hour. One other thing to note: it did indeed make my shirt and suit wet. The only reason I got away with it unnoticed is that I was wearing a black suit.

My son loves
I ordered this for my college son who has a summer lawn business. I tried it out before giving it to him and was not overly impressed...but he loves it. Says he uses it all the time and that it is awesome. So there you go. For me, it was just so so - I didn't get much more from it than I would the neck roll I keep in my freezer but for my son who doesn't keep a freezer in his truck - this towel that requires no freezer and just a little water is perfect for him.

FLORIDA Survival Equipment!!
Couldn't survive working outside in the yard in FL without my collection of assortment of colors of these amazing Chill Towels!! Just keep a bottle of water (cold is an extra treat!) handy to re-wet it occasionally & swinging it around for a second, then put it back around your neck & AHHH...you can go again!! I just drop them washer machine after I have gotten one filthy dirty & then roll it up, damp, back in its container & it's ready for when another job calls!
