This product installs immediately. Stays put and is "solid as a rock" to help you in and out of shower/tub. It has rubberized pads so it doesn't scratch the tub surface. The hand hold area has traction when you hold it, so your wet hand does not slip either. I also like that it is rubberized so it is not going to rust. Really good product. Bought this for my 84 year old mother the end of 2020 and just this week, 7/2025, she called me to say it is feeling a little loose and wants me to check it. It has served her well this 4.5 years and I'm sure it will be an easy fix to tighten it when I get over there. She has had a lot of confidence getting in and out of her standard tub to shower all this time. She is 5'7" (was 5'9") and about 170 lbs maybe more. Still independent at 88 with the little things that help with her safety!

The bathtub rail was easy to fasten to the outside edge of the tub. My mom, who is frail and in her 90s, found it to be a secure way to get in and out of the tub. This enabled her to feel secure enough to take a bath regularly without needing help from me or my wife or her husband. The sense of security and the ability to bath regularly greatly improved her happiness and made her feel independent.

I liked that I could install or remove the Safety Rail in seconds. The rail is very secure and stable upon installation, even when it is being used by the Big & Tall and Accident Prone. It also requires no tools to install, just a bit of upper body strength in order to close the lever that attaches the safety rail to the upper part of the tub. Well worth the shekels to gain safe entry and egress from a slippery bath tub. It also assists setting down and rising from the toilet, depending upon how your bath tub is situated with the toilet. In my case it worked out very well. One hand on the counter and the other hand on the safety rail. JSJ

I bought two of these tub rails so that my wife could use both hands to enter and leave the tub. When she used them, both of them fell over and dumped her into the tub, fortunately with out injury to her. I reinstalled them and, after 2-3 hours, discovered that I could lift them off the side of the tub without effort. They were loose. I am a big man, have strong hands, and know how to install clamps securely. Moreover I tested them after each installation. They loosen easily. I installed a bathtub rail in another tub in my home over 20 years ago, and it is still as secure as it was when I first installed it.

I ordered two of these handles and we've only had these for about a week now but I feel confident in giving this review. These handles are made with excellent materials and are built with quality. They are designed in a way that makes them very easy to install and remove. This is helpful for when cleaning the tub or if you'd like to relocate where they are mounted. At first I was worried that they weren't tall enough but after seeing them installed, they are a perfect height. Their design is primarily to withstand downward force giving you something to lean on. For instance, if you need help with balance or if you have problems where you have trouble supporting your body weight, these will work well for you. If you need something to help get you up on your feet, you'd be better off with a wall mounted handle.
