What a clever useful device!
I purchased this tablift because I love to read books in bed on my iPad through the kindle app. I tried using small pillows to support my iPad so I could read while in bed but the iPad kept slipping around as the pillows couldn't support it well. That was very frustrating for me as I had to keep adjusting the pillows as I moved. Then I saw this little strange looking device… I thought I would give it a try. I am so tickled I did! I love this little foldable tablift. It is sturdy and doesn't wobble. And I can adjust those feet to be higher or lower on the bed as needed. Then it also has 3 slots to adjust the angle the iPad sits to your comfort eye level. I have a folding cover for my iPad and my iPad sits in the slits very easily with the cover. This is such a cool device that it has been a real joy for me to bring stability and comfort to reading in bed! When i show it to my family they all questioned … What is it? It looks peculiar but it is a great design that works! I am soo glad I bought it!!!! It’s my r2d2 device! And when I am done reading I just fold it up and put it on my shelf! If you are a person who loves reading in bed consider getting this… I am super happy with it and only wish I had found it sooner!

Wow, this is awesome!
This is better than I ever thought it could be. I’m very impressed! I’m quite picky with gadgets, but there isn’t anything to complain about here. When I read reviews I was a little skeptical, but that wasn’t resonable. This thing is awesome. The quality is very good and it works perfectly. I read that it could fit an iPad Pro 12.9“ a little poorly, but it fits without any problems. I also read that it could damage an iPad like this and cause dents. But that’s hard to believe. There’s no sharp edges, and there’s no force put on the iPad. But it still holds the iPad thoroughly. I can only see one possible reason for the dents being made. It has to be that the ipad, while it sits in the slots and are being held there, gets a hard bump by a person/animal or gets dropped onto the floor. There’s no other way this could’ve happened.I don’t regret buying this one bit. I’m actually going to buy one of these this to my mom and dad also. I hope these are going to be for sale a long time into the future, because I’ll buy more when I ware this one out.It holds the iPad so steadily. It’s just what I wanted.I see people complaining about black marks on bed sheets. That sounds a little strange, because I use it (the black one) on a white sofa every day, and no marks have come.I also see people saying that this won’t fit their iPads, but it fits all of mine perfectly. I don’t think there’s any iPad that doesn’t fit. I remember the first iPad that came, and even that one wasn’t so thick that it wouldn’t fit in this stand. You would have to have a very thick tablet if it were to not fit. My iPad Pro 12.9“ fits very well with a case on. And it’s not a hard case, but there aren’t any dents being made in my iPad anyway.By the way, it works fine for overweight people. I weigh about 40 pounds too much, but there’s still a lot of room left under it. Those who say it won’t fit overweight people has to be massively obese.

Better than anything else I've tried but could use a bit more flexibility
Tablift Tablet Stand for the Bed, Sofa, or Any Uneven Surface - By NbryteReally helpful product but there's still some room for improvement:Good Stuff:- FINALLY a hands-free tablet/e-reader stand for bed/laying down! I have carpal tunnel & it's horrible when laying down. Holding my iPad or Kindle in bed is extremely painful. This little guy goes A LONG way towards solving the problem. I can now read & (I'm embarrassed to admit!) play games with a lot less pain- A lot more flexibility than other stands I've tried for reading in bed. This holds my iPad Air 2 & my Kindle Paperwhite equally well...nice & tight without any moving or slipping. I've only used the angle that allows the machine to slant towards you from the top which reduces the angle your head needs to lean forward for good viewing- Very sturdy & high quality - this thing is NOT going to break, come apart or have any trouble with components...heavy metal legs with nice flexibility, super strong elastic that adjusts nicely to different sized tablets & very thick/strong plastic components. Whomever designed & manufactured this wasn't messing around with quality!Room for Improvement (okay, this may be a little over the top...but here's what I would do to make it 'perfect'):- It's expensive...which I pretty much get given the quality, but if I were designing this I might reduce the ultra-high quality components in exchange for more flexibility &/or a lower price. That said, I doubt you'll find a higher-quality solution for hands-free reading in bed. This thing will likely outlast us all!- I wish it had a bit more flexibility in terms of the way it holds the machine. It allows the machine to angle forward from the top (like the photo shows) but the angle is set by 1 of 3 "trays" on the stand. In other words, you put the tablet in the stand either leaning back, straight up or leaning forward. I wish there were a way to change the angles of the tablet more. In my case, I'd like it to lean forward a lot more.- I'm weird but thanks to carpal tunnel & fibromyalgia it takes me a bit of adjusting once I get in bed to be comfortable. I keep putting the tablet in the stand, setting it on the bed, getting myself comfortable & then adjusting the legs of the stand. I inevitably cause the tablet to pop out of the stand during all of this ridiculous commotion on my part...which basically starts the process over! Arrgghh! It's actually pretty funny after I stop being annoyed! I don't want to think what I must look like! Assuming you are not as 'high-maintenance' as me, this probably won't be an issue. For me, I wish it were harder to knock the tablet out of place since it keeps happening despite my best efforts.- I wish the legs had a telescoping feature...they have a lot of flexibility already because of the way they bend, but I'm always wanting the front legs to be shorter than the back legs in order to lean the tablet forward more. As I attempt to prop up the back legs & lay out the front legs I usually pop the tablet out of the stand.- The little hook you see in the photo at the top of the elastic strap is okay but again could use a little more flexibility. My iPad Air 2 is super thin so the good thing is that it will fit in this stand with a very thin skin on the back/sides of the tablet. I'm pretty sure my old iPad 2 (much thicker) would not fit on this stand if it were in any kind of case. Even with the thin Air & a super thin case, I have to lay the tablet in landscape & only on 1 side because the case has a tiny thickness on one side that makes it too thick for the little clasp. In other words...there is very little tolerance for various thicknesses in the machine. If you have any iPad made prior to the Air & you want to leave it in its case, my guess is that it will not fit.Overall, I'm very glad to have found this because it does help me a lot in terms of pain management while reading in bed. I just wish it had a few extra options that would make it even more flexible...if it did, I wouldn't consider the price to be high at all.
