Thumbs (he has thumbs) our cat was born on Cinco de Mayo. He likes a little fiesta birthday, so this hat is appropriate.

Made my cat wear this for my girlfriends birthday and he was not happy

This hat is actually fairly sturdy, and the string it comes with has a nice hold to it for an animals head. I used to for my cactus, but I did test this on my dog and found it was absolutely hilarious as well. The hat is SMALL, probably no more than 4-6 inches in diameter. Definitely worth it!
