Amazing at cone 10
Bought them for my college class that fires at cone 10, really expecting the colors to turn out dull, but was pleasantly surprised by how bright and vibrant it turned out! Only issue is that orange and especially brown are very chunky and difficult to use. (For the image: my college doesn’t have a completely clear glaze)

Great variety of underglaze colors
The underglazes are great. Alot of different colors. After firing they keep their color. I put them on greenware, then bisque at 04. They hold their color following the Cone 5 firing.

2nd Buy; Broken Jar
I bought 3 of these in a prior order and had no issues with them. They arrived perfectly fine and provided me some stunning results, which was why I wanted more.I ordered only 1 jar the second time around. The jar was packed in a single plastic bag instead of the box the 3 jars had come in last time. As a result, the lip of the lid came off. The underglaze exploded in the bag (which thankfully remained intact and did not explode on my carpet). The plastic seal also came off.I believe it is not the fault of the manufacturer but rather how it is packed at Amazon. It's a great product that I have no issues with in itself. I would recommend purchasing multiple at one time to prevent them from trying to put it in smaller and less protective packaging.

DONT KNOW YET
i just got it, how can i possibly rate this. the process of using an underglaze is not an over night thing. you make a plate, (raw clay) let it dry for several days, then use the underglaze. they the process is to bisque fire it, which takes about 2 days, then you have to glaze it with a clear glaze, that takes several days to get enough bisque wear to load the kiln, then fire it for another 2 days. these reviews need to take into account some time to use the products, and even see how long they last ................please understand, the stars here are just guesses.

Low Quality and Crawling Issues no matter what I do!
I know there are a ton of variables in handmade ceramics but I’ve used Speedball colors a ton and never had issues until now. This white is has crawled on EVERY piece I’ve made, even with 3 separate clay brands, different cones firings, thinning the glaze when applying and making sure to let each coat dry between applications as well as not to apply too thick or thin.I even went as far as to add a couple coats of clear glazes on it but NOTHING works…This is obviously a quality issue or just bad batches. I’ve ruined hours and hours of work and money on clay, firings, ruined kiln shelves, much less the cost of the glazes themselves. I’m ready to call it quits for this brand, better to pay extra for a quality product that’s dependable. Mayco, Amaco, Laguna, Coyote etc… has never caused so many continuous issues. Buyer BEWARE!

Good underglazes except for the brown and red
I've been using speedball underglazes for some time now and usually am pretty pleased. All colors arrived but brown was not as full as other colors. I always have issues with the brown underglaze as well. Its grainy and doesn't look nice. I haven't had an issue with red before but when I used it from this pack, it moved a lot on my clay after firing and didn't stay in place. This is not a common issue that I experience so I was surprised and disappointed. Overall I still like speedball but some colors need work.

Packaging not so great?
I can say it is blue! I opened the package and was met with this brilliant blue all over my hands and shirt. It appeared the lid was loose and the plastic seal was not....sealed. I don't know if someone ordered, used a little, and then returned or if it was a bad seal. Color is great...just a heads up when opening.

Only 5 out of 12 were usable! AVOID!
The paints all separated.Unable to mix them back together, using various methods. They have been stored in an indoor (heated to normal levels) space. These are not worth the money.Very disappointed. See attached images.

Excellent underglaze
The diversity of colours was impressive. Everyone a stunning winner. 4 stars only because the PRICE is very high.

Easy to use, good range of colours
These seem to work well, the colours emerge bright after clear glaze applied and fired. I am not keen on some of the original colours, but had intended to mix them anyway to achieve the colours I want. As easy to apply to greenware or after biscuit firing, just like painting with watercolours. Delivery took a while as they come from USA, but mine arrived 5 days before the predicted delivery date, so that was good. Would buy again, though as I tend to make quite small pots and objects, the sample sizes will last me a long time.
