SanDisk Cruzer Glide 8GB (5 Pack) Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive Jump Drive Pen Drive CZ60 - w/ (2) Everything But Stromboli (tm) Lanyard

I needed a bunch of small flash drives, but decided to get 8GB instead of 2GB simply because the definition of 'small' changes year to year and I hope these last for several years at least. I didn't want cheap off brand flash drives since I just threw away 3 year old ones that no longer worked at all, and I've been happy with SanDisk. I didn't test the speed of these -- I will be using them on both USB2 and USB3 systems I did discover a trick here that people reporting how hard the connector is to retract when I found I couldn't retract one. When you want to retract it, press DOWN on the red button and retract. If you try to retract without pressing down, it's locked. I actually love this feature since it means that the head doesn't retract accidentally when inserting into a tight port..

These are perfect to store operating systems on, and I generally partition my computer to accommodate several systems so that I can run older software. Some of us need that ability. The SanDisk Cruzer Glide allows me to keep a backup of just the pristine operating system. Apple Mac no longer allows us to purchase older systems, even just one back, at least not since I last looked, and when I bought a new (used) computer and wanted a different system than the Latest and Greatest, they wouldn't sell it to me. So now I download systems as they come out and put them on SanDisks, so that when I'm ready to upgrade, I can choose which system I want to upgrade to. I love you, SanDisk!

Arrived on time , good price. One stick had a sticky slide but was useable. Has a secure vault security software which I used successfully. I also found that USB2, which is cheaper, was plenty fast enough for my usage. It was in a 3.0 hub but as far as I know a 2.0 stick in a 3.0 hub is still 2.0, not 3.0 speed.

Unacceptable fulfillment. Instead of getting a 5 pack with lanyards, I received 4 individual packs with no lanyard. No note of explanation. No reduction in price.

Show up as local drive instead of removeable. A lot of programs cant make bootable drives out of them. This has been ranked as not useful, so I would like to clarify that since these were released Sandisk and other companies stopped making use drives this way and they are now back to producing ones that show up as a regular removable drive. It really was causing a lot of issues with programs that could write to remove able drives, but not to regular local disks.

It is good for the price. It is not 8 gigs it only reads 7.44 gigs.

First of All "Everything But Stromboli" did a perfect transaction. Smooth and delivered before I expected it, they are a great company to deal with. For what I needed this device for, it was perfect. In my business I transfer small amounts of Data between a networked system and an stand alone system and needed something reliable to use for that transfer. I've used many USB Jump Drives and SanDisk is by far, superior at this level of pricing. They've never failed me. Plus I like the Vault security software that's included with the drive. Great job SanDisk.

I have always bought ScanDisk products and they have yet to fail me. I bought these to use at work. I work with confidential information and I need something reliable to store them. These will fit the bill just right. I have 4 more ScanDisk flash drives (two 8GB, one 16GB and a 32GB) and they work great. One I have had for over a year and has not experienced any problems recalling or storing data. This is a good buy!!!
