For our 750mAh battery, it could last for 7 hours at low brightness level, 2.5 hours at med level and 1 hours at high level. And please put the plastic sheet between end cap and battery if the flashlight is not used for a long time. Thank you.

Can the battery be replaced with a better and more common 18650 Lithium Ion battery?

You can upgrade the battery with no issues, worse case scenario, you can even use a conventional AA battery. Its an amazing little torch, I keep mine in the car. Hope this helps
