Goodbye Optimum Internet!
I bought this because I was [tired] of being forced to get on an internet contract. My bill was $600 and service sucked. I found this personal hotspot box and thought, hey this looks great, no contract so its prepaid and reloadable (via the RoamWifi app), you are not bound by an expensive 2 year contract and you can travel the world with it and it works. 1st day with it and im in love. Im not tech savvy and I like my devices uncomplicated. All i did was tap the power button lightly [3 times the charm] and the router name and password came up. I took a screenshot of it on my phone for later, do the same.Okay so now at this point, I connect my laptop. Immediately works. To my phone [at the same time], works. Flawlessly. Fast as hell. And the manual says 5 people can be on it at the same time. My kid is watching CocoMelon and its saving lives out here! Now, it does come with free 10GB. We let our daughter use Youtube for 2 hours on and off, we watched a movie for 2 hrs and we have used up 3.19 gb. So it may end soon. But it will be easy to reload if necessary. All in all, this is a gamechanger. I was afraid it would be some complicated mess or that it wouldnt work, but it works and its super easy. Really happy with this product. I would tell everyone to get it.

Fantastic, convenient, and easy to use.
I bought this product around two years ago, and while I don't use it incredibly frequently, it always gets the job done when I'm in a pinch. I use this whenever there's a sudden power outage, or on a trip where I still got some work to do.[DURABILITY]- Clumsily, I've dropped this a couple of times, but there were rarely any signs of scratches.- Once, it had even drop out of my bag through the cracks down several floors while going up my apartment stairs... leaving just a crack on its side but absolutely no loss in functionality.[WIFI/CONNECT]- After the free "x" amount of days upon purchase, we can "refill" through purchasing a plan at any time through their app. It allows a range of variability down to even just a one day plan.- The app is VERY easy to navigate and it takes just a few presses to select a plan, pay, and you're good to go. It allows multiple devices to connect as well without much loss in quality. The set up process is equally simple when following their little manual.- For reference, I was able to join zoom meetings, log onto games (albeit a bit laggy), and do online browsing/work on my desktop during power outages by buying a one day plan.- I've personally never lost connectivity while using it, but I've noticed more remote locations are generally slightly slower in speed.[BATTERY LIFE / MISC CONCERNS]- Be warned, this might be a deal breaker for some. If you're planning to use this on a trip (camping, hiking, etc.) without any form of charging, this will not last for more than half a day at most if being constantly used.- I learned this the hard way when I forgot to charge it fully a night prior to a hike and it died on me mid journey without any signal.- When I have a power outage at home, the typical time to fix the outage doesn't last more than a day, so there shouldn't be many issues with that constantly with ways nearby to charge.- Perhaps I don't use it often enough to know, but I haven't experienced any issues with the battery degrading in how long it can last; however, I must address that because I've only used it a few times, it's concerning how much faster it seems to heat up than I remember using it out the box initially.Overall, I consider it a fantastic purchase, and I'm grateful for the numerous times it got me out of a pinch during power outages affecting my work. Having it for road trips was a bonus, and the pricing is fair for the quality I received. It's remained consistent for use even after 2 years.

Connects to multiple devices
This has been exactly what I need while doing my clinicals for school. Not every location has a wifi you can connect to that isn't a "guest Wi-Fi". I needed something secure and fast. This is a reliable option if you need a secure and fast connection on multiple devices. I've had coverage everywhere so far. It also works internationally but I haven't been able to verify that yet. I'm in the military so knowing it works internationally as well is a plus for this decision. It comes with data already pre loaded and then you can use the phone app to pay as you go after that.

Simple success!
We were leaving for a 14 State road Trip in 3 days and realized we'd need about 30 GB more of Wi-Fi data over our limited Verizon plan. We didn't want the hassle of changing plans, getting a hotspot with an additional plan.Data is normally so expensive, but RoamWiFi at $165 with 10GB loaded was a great deal! But I was concerned it would be difficult to use and finicky in different regions. It was easy to set up and we immediately had Wi-Fi throughout the RV starting our trip.it's been 7 days and it has worked flawlessly! It lost service in many parts of Yellowstone, which is understandable. I don't know what carrier it uses but our Verizon phones got service in some parts of Yellowstone that RoamWiFi didn't. So Verizon may have slightly better coverage there. Battery lasted all day and only had to charge it at night. Taped it to the ceiling of the RV to get better service. Most importantly liked the ease of use, the variety of data packages, and a compact cell phone dimensions. This was exactly what we wanted.
