XKGLOWchrome App Control Car Mini LED Accent Light Kit - Interior

Great for interior, not for Midwest weather
I really love this set. It's the best underglow I've ever had. The Bluetooth app features are wonderful. My favorite part is how both the interior lights and exterior lights are integrated into one system. It's very easy to come up with a custom look as opposed to the usual seven colors you get stuck with in other kits.I'm only taking off a star because one of the outside tubes arrived defective and the seller didn't do anything about it.I contacted them and they told me it after about a week of back and forth contact that the issue would fall under the manufacturer warranty to take care of instead of just replacing the one tube that was broken when it arrived.I contacted Amazon directly and they gave me a partial refund for the broken tube. I'm hoping Amazon decides to start selling the expansion products soon through it's site. What's nice is that the app also provides directly links for add on tubes that I can later purchase should I need to expand it. On that note, it's a shame the seller couldn't have simply offered to go to the manufacturer website and order the new tube for me. Oh well.EDIT: So I’ve learned that this set cannot put up with the weather in the Midwest. The connectors had collected all the salt and grime from the winter and also two of the pegs had broken off one of the connectors.I’m basically out a few hundred dollars after installing this system and having to troubleshoot it again. At least the interior lights are working.

Excellent product. Well packaged and a better design. Enough hardware for installation. 2 Separate zones. Lots of cabling. APP is very easy to use and logically laid out. Needs to be planned out. It's kinda tricky, but easy, You need to take wiring length, wire rout, LED light, attachment points all in consideration. I gave it a 4 vice 5 star for petty reasons (see below).INSTALLATION: Connected all wires and lights before installation and they all worked. Downloaded and Tested the APP and it worked great. Advice: there are two outputs from the controller each with a rated MAX Output of 3 Amps therefore you need to plan which lights to use in what location and what zone. All lights can be used but have to be divided equally. In addition to some of the included hardware I ran my cabling inside 1/4 inch Split Loom Tubing Wire Conduit. It took about 50 feet. I also wrapped the loom with Tesa 51608, 25m x 19mm adhesive wiring cloth tape. Not needed HOWEVER it looks fantastic and I highly recommended. Additionally I inserted 3M 08946 Clear Silicone Paste - Dielectric grease inside the connectors to prevent water intrusion and corrosion. These are really good and I am going to buy more products.I gave them 4 out of 5 star rating for the following reasons: 1. There is already dielectric grease in the connectors, however, you will be connecting and disconnecting the connectors many times checking fit, alignment, centering, routing, etc. After all the connecting and disconnecting no grease remained just a "film". Additionally anything that did remain needed to be cleaned to ensure a great connection. 2. One of the flexible lights had a broken/ cold solder joint. I might have bend it too much, since they all worked on pre-test and pre-installation, regardless i cut the rubber fix it and it works great. My issue is NOT that it didn't work, my issue and the reason for 4 vice 5 stars is that the rubber I cut to access the wire was very difficult to get anything to adhere to it so it could be sealed. Petty I know. If I called customer service they probably would have recommended something.Highly recommended . . . .Enjoy!

DO NOT waste your money on this junk!
This seems nice from the descriptions and the videos, but it is total junk. First and formost, it is NOT waterproof. After a couple months of weather and normal driving, the light will begin to malfunction.... half the strip will be one color and the other half with be other colors (not supposed to do that) and it will stop passing the signal from one strip to the other..... then finally, it will just fail completely. I was able to verify this by connecting one strip that was brand new and it functioned perfectly, but then connect the cable to that working strip and it starts changing colors and such from the shorted out strips behind it. The company is no help whatsoever, the the seller would not do anything to help either. I am screwed out of $XXX for this junk. learn the lesson from me! Dont buy this junk!

Missing basic functions such as color chasing which is a huge fail in todays LED market. But the modular ability is something nice to speak of. Build quality is nice and connections come pre-lubed with di-electric grease to keep rust out. App is lackluster. Due to steep price i gave it a low rating. Spend your money on cheaper underglow kits that give you the same if not better performance and better functions even if it isn’t as modular, you’ll be much happier with less buyers remorse.

Loving the first 48 hours
The media could not be loaded. *** Update 2/2019 - 6 out of 7 of the installed 24” tubes have failed their first winter. XKGlow support was great and determined the failure was covered under warranty.I've never had an LED kit last over a NE Ohio winter. That being said, I've gone made in China cheap and it didn't last. Hopefully some good ole' made in the USA can give me the longevity I'm looking for.So, I gutted the cheap stuff this weekend and installed the full interior/exterior kit with wheel well lights. What I love about this kit is its through completeness, and by that I mean I didn't have to purchase any 3M adhesive, dielectric grease, or solder anything. However, as with all one-size-fits-most purchases, I did have to order some additional wire extensions and zip ties for my particular install.I'll try to revisit this after tax time 2019 and let you know if.. - the screws rusted out? - the LED strips survive? - anything else that comes up
