Quite a Change
Have used the aluminum version of these forever and thought I'd break with tradition.A new tradition is here! These are a bit bigger than I'm used to, but just mean less refilling. There are a ton of holes on top and they do let it flow. These are not thin little flimsy things. They are thick stainless that should last near forever. Excellent value.

Aesthetically these things are absolutely wonderful. Functionality wise
Aesthetically these things are absolutely wonderful. Functionality wise, they're okay. The only reason I'm saying that is because the holes are pretty big, my whole intention was just to have them a salt-and-pepper shakers but the holes are just too big too much salt comes out. I'm talking if you Open your hand up and just turn the container upside down for a half second and back up you'll have a handful of salt probably a half teaspoon full. So this just means that I am now limited in my options of what I can use I decided to use one for rub when I barbecue, which is in as often as I would use salt and pepper. And I use the other one for powdered sugar, so you can see how a once excited customer kind of just turned into an Eh situation.

Excellent shakers.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much given the low cost of these shakers ($6.80). They are solidly made (in India) and the finish seems quality durable.I use these for Kosher Salt and the holes are perfect for this use, not too fine or too big. They will let air in, so if you live in a humid environment, add some rice to the container to keep the contents drier.

Good shaker.
I simply wanted a single shaker that I could mix salt and pepper both in for cooking, and this gave me exactly that. I really only wanted one, so the other one sits for now, but I'm thinking of making a BBQ rub or some other spice concoction that I could put in there. Overall, very solid. I would by this again.

The shakers are alright
The shakers look cool, but I'm not sold yet...They are not as functional as I hoped.Pros:AestheticsServe their purposeCons:Pour A LOT out at a timeIf you use these near your grill, be careful. My salt hardened after my first use. My other shakers did not have this problem.

PERFECT for my needs!
I have these with handles too, for S&P, and I needed something easily identifiable for my cinnamon sugar - - regular and powdered sugar cinnamon. These are perfect. They are quite heavy duty and feel nice in the hand. They are really pretty Too!

NOT STAINLESS STEEL!
I write very few of these, only when something is very exceptional. Either bad or good. With that said, Come on Amazon! Talk about bait & switch at best or faults advertising in reality, this is cheap stamped ALUMINUM from India my goodness there's a sticker on the bottom that says "aluminum India". They haven't even taken the time to remove the burs from the inside of the the lid where the holes were punched through. I ran my finger over the surface and it left small slices (no blood, but I was careful) like paper cuts. The body of the shaker is more flimsy than your typical soda can. I didn't even bother sending it back I just threw it in the bin with the rest of the rubish.

These shakers are fine for cheap shakers
A little thin, but works like it should. No, it's not a $40 shaker set. But still will worth the money I paid for it. If it screws up I'll buy the same thing again. Just learn the rate in which the contents come out and you'll be fine. I also lightly coated the threads with veg oil so the tops will come off more easily. It hasn't affected the contents of the shaker as of yet and I don't see there being a future problem with me doing so. Don't beat and bang them around and they'll be fine. If you're looking for something for shakers to use in order to put on a show while cooking using the spatulas, pass these up. The material is too thin.
