This seems well constructed, the caps stay on, and it seems to work. I'm getting about the same speed that I see with the reader built into my laptop, which I guess is good. I don't think any UHS-I cards are very fast, so the USB3.0 interface is probably wasted in this case.

I use this to transfer data from programs to a pc so that the data may be processed. The SD card reader is very functional and has a professional appearance. It looks much better than the see-through colored plastic models. This one appears to be strong enough to withstand everyday life.

I received this USB SD card reader specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(I generally try to include a picture or video with each review. Lately, the system has not been accepting them. Hopefully, I will be able to add some in the future.)The reader was easy to set-up. It is plug and play. (You will want a connection to the Internet just in case your system has to download a driver.)One end is a standard USB connection, and the other end is a micro-USB connection. There are dust covers to remove to access the reader.Both the SD and micro-SD slots are located on the same side. You may need to experiment a little to see how to get the cards in. The micro-SD in particular was a little hard to get in.I tried an SD card with 128 Gb storage, and this is the first device that recognized and was able to use the SD as is.Then, I found out that the reader will read either an SD or a micro-SD, but not both at the same time.This is not a huge limitation. I just was not expecting it.My Windows 10 laptop had previously not been able to use a high capacity SD card, but with this reader, I have a whole new set of capabilities.All in all, this is an inexpensive reader that will add capabilities to your existing device or system.I highly recommend it.

The item is very good for the price very epic product!

I got this device for a very specific purpose. When I travel domestically I usually take a cheap tablet for reviewing emails and doing internet searches while I am on the road. One issue I have is when I want to send an email with a photo of something I have just taken with my digital camera.My home PC has built in slots for all of the various camera memory cards, but the cheap tablet does not. However with this small (3 1/8 inch x 7/8 inch x 7/16 inch) device I can easily select a photo to email out while I am still on my trip.I only need the standard SD card slot and a USB (A) connection, but this unit will handle TF cards as well as SD cards and will interconnect those cards to your other device using not only USB A, but also USB C and Micro USB interfaces. Very versatile.The unit I got is in the gold tone color, but the box makes it clear it also comes in sliver, space gray, and rose gold colors.The brushed aluminum housing seems well built and sturdy, however I would have liked some kind of covering over the slots where the SD and TF cards are inserted, or at least some kind of pouch. I can see, these slots might collect dirt and grime over time unless protected. (I plan on using a small zip-lock bag.) Obviously, one could just carry the box that the unit came in, however, to me that would kind of defeat the purpose of the small size. The box measures 4 3/8 inch x 2 1/4 inch x 1 1/8 inch)Using this device is not rocket science - pretty much plug and play, but you do have to insert the memory card into the card reader prior to inserting the card reader into the computer. Also remember to use the safely remove USB function when you are done.A useful little device at a reasonable price.

I just received the product today. At first, it was delighted to use it because I have some photos on old SD cards I wanted to access again, however when I was finished using it on my pc, the USB end of the product got stuck in my PC USB port, and I had to yank it out just to remove it. It was very difficult and almost damaged the port. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Simcard does not fits well. It fall inside to stuck.USB top and bottom works fine

I tried to use this card reader on my MacBook Air using it's USB-C port, and no operation completed successfully other than reading one of the cards. In other words erasing or updating cards never succeeded. When I tried using the same card in a much older card read (combined with a USB-C to USB-A adapter), all operations worked just fine.Unfortunately, I didn't test this product until after the return window closed. So now I am stuck with a useless card reader. Alas
