VES161C ES Aluminum Shutter Fan, 16" Size, 115V, 1/10 hp, 1 Phase, Variable Speed, 10' Cord

I bought this to replace an iliving brand that had horrible vibration. The JD Manu. fan has very little vibration and is quieter also. There is a fan noise but any fan moving a lot of air will do that. Much beefier construction and the motor is larger than the one I pulled out.

After a number of months of use this exhaust fan is working extremely well. It is framed in to a larger outlet vent for the crawlspace under our house. It is wired to a humidistat that we have set to turn on when the humidity reaches 70%. It switches on and the louvers open and it runs fairly quietly (we can only hear a slight humming when listening closely). It pulls the air in through the other standard foundation vents and exits it out the J&D fan. It is a lot of bang for the buck...a well-priced piece of hardware.

Added this in my garage. Nice big fan, solidly constructed, ball bearings on motor. Best thing it is very quiet and has little if any vibration. 2 year warranty.

Very nice fan, Works real well nice and quiet. It arrived missing the 10 foot cord,. I had to supply my own. I called J&D Mfg and they said they only deal with distributors. Not very friendly I would have given it 5 starts if it arrived pre wired with the cord, and if customer service of J&D was better.Amazon has no way of supplying a 10 foot cord. I hope there is no problem with it there is a one year warranty amazon gives 30 days...Does a good job of keeping the shed cool I changed my review to 5 stars

Easy for amateur to install. Very quiet.

It works great; we just installed it in my new garage and it exhausts a lot of air. I also installed A regular wall switch to control the outlet. During a hard blowing rain with the fan off, no rain enter the building.

High quality shutter fan will work great in my greenhouse. Very well built, worth the extra money compared to the cheaper ones with flimsy aluminum shutters.
