HDMI to 3RCA Composite AV Converter for Amazon Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Media Player

I hooked up my smart dvd player to an old dinosaur TV with this thing. It comes with all the cables you should need and easy to use. The picture quality is as expected SD. I found this product to be my best bet out of all of the other options due to all of the extra cables/cords included in the package. With Amazon Prime it arrived in 2 days. This product is an efficient and adaptable solution to my household digital challenges.

After reading reviews on similar devices I had very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. At first glance this seems like it's more expensive than similar converters, but if you take into account that it comes with its own power supply and every cable you need at $29.99 it's a pretty good deal. From what I could tell, this converter is the same as all of the other Bleiden converters marketed for use with different devices. There was no review for this Amazon Fire listing, but I purchased this based on the mostly positive reviews listed for other devices.What you get: USB power supply, USB power cord, HDMI cable with gold connectors, RCA cable with gold connectors, HDMI converter (very lightweight plastic but it works). All cables are between 5 1/2 to 6 feet long - nicer than expected. I followed the instructions provided and immediately my 2015 Fire TV showed up on my ancient 2003 Panasonic CT-2701G TV. I did see on screen text indicating that the resolution was set to 1080 for a moment, but I'm not sure if that was from this device or my Fire box. In any case, I did not have to adjust any settings on my Fire TV box to get it to work.The picture looked great (color was fine - no black and white only issue - see photo, keeping in mind that the wavy distortion is from the camera capture) and there were no audio problems. Obviously it's not HDMI quality, but it's a great solution if you have an older TV in a room without a cable box that you want to occasionally use to watch Netflix or whatever. I'm hoping that the many reviews for similar devices that indicate a high failure rate after a couple months isn't the case with this unit. If this happens, I'll update this review!

About once per day the TV will go to a screen of vertical colored bars. Then I have to move the NTSC/PAL switch to PAL and then back to NTSC and that corrects the issue. I should send this back. We'll see.

A lightning strike last year wiped out the HDMI ports on our new 70" TV, so it was pretty much relegated to watching over the air channels in an obscure room of the house. We recently changed to the Amazon Fire TV on all TVs except for this one, but it made me wonder if there wasn't a HDMI-in to RCA A/V composite jacks adapter I could plug the Fire TV into. After studying the reviews, I decided to buy this Bleiden HDMI to AV Converter. I set the converter to Pal, plugged in my Fire TV, and plugged up the converter box to the TV using the included, color coded cables. Nothing ever works first time, but I plugged everything in, turned everything on, set the input on the TV to A/V and I'll be dawgone if this didn't work first time right out of the box - There was "no fiddlin' with nothin' to get this converter to work." The TV can't receive the 4K or even the 1080i from the Fire TV because A/V is analog, not digital, but I understood that up front. The kids can't tell the difference, so they love the 70" TV and I got my 65" QLED 4K TV back!

12 million stars!!! Is what I want to give this product. Why? Because I was given a humungus free TV, I was given an Amazon Fire TV stick. NO HDMI connection. Boo, hiss. I do not have (nor will I ever go back to) cable, so I go online to get answers as to how to get it to work. a bunch of smart asses respond "just BUY a TV with an HDMI port"..well sweeties, if I could just go out and BUY a new TV I would have already done it, so shut up your not helpful. THIS PRODUCT is helpful.Arrived in 2 days, hooked up in 5 minutes! Boom! LOVE IT. Kids are now watching all their favorite programs.A couple of small things...the images seem to take a tad bit longer to load and sometimes the picture shifts from vertical back to horizontal- converting I suppose (?). That's it. Nothing major just wanted to mention them. Otherwise as previously stated. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!

I'm sorry, but I have to revise my earlier review. I got this back in September and it worked great for a few months. I decided to move the tv to my bedroom and ever since, the rainbow vertical bars of no signal appear several times a day to the point where I just don't like this product anymore. I've just ordered a different brand and hope that it performs much better than this garbage.

I am "electronic componentry" challenged! And I have an a tv from about 2008 and it is a 720p with av connectors. I needed to attach an Amazon Fire TV media device (which I bought in 2014) to this tv. I did some research and found this unit. It appeared to do what I wanted and simple to install. So I purchased and could not be more pleased.! The instructions were simple and clear. All necessary "hardware/wires/etc" were included. It took me about 15 minutes from start to finish .... to get the unit set up and working. If I can do this ... anyone can do it.! Thank you for a product that is simple to use, has all the "stuff" included, easy instructions and works!

Works like it is supposed to so far. I had one time where I got an error message saying the connection couldn't be read after setting it up and using it. I just unplugged the connections and it has been working fine.
