These are perfect for dry skin brushing. They shed but they last a long time. These are a great deal as the cost of these everywhere has really climbed since my last purchase.

The bristles on this brush are initially very stiff and a bit scratchy, but after targeting less sensitive areas first, several of the sharpest bristles either broke off or became less noticeable. (I noticed a lot of flyaway bristles on first use, less on second use) Wetting the brush before tackling more sensitive areas--inner arms near elbows, back of knees, ticklish places-- also helped change experience from mildly painful to pleasant. The handle is well wrapped and seems to be quality material. I was concerned at first that it might not be long enough to allow me to reach all parts of my back, but had no problems. The full-body dry brush really does help moisturizer to soak in more deeply, and I feel like I've had to use less lotion throughout the day, as the am moisturizing stays that long. (I don't use anything fancy-just Bath amd Body Works body butter & creams.) Also, I'm prone to autoimmune ideopathic hives in the winter (I know. Yuck.) so there's an added perk where I can sneakily scratch all over with the brush, and the hives have actually gone down. I'm only four days into the new dry-body brush routine, and my friends have already asked me how I'm pulling off my mysterious mid-winter glow. :-) I can't believe this simple brush has been so useful. Yay!

I have very dry skin and this brush works wonders for it. I use it before I get in the shower. It's best to use only when the bristles are dry and firm. I brush in the direction of each lymph drainage to also improve my circulation. Mix it up doing small brushed 3x in. Row in one spot and long brushes up the whole lymph system in that area. For instance starting in my foot all the way up my leg and small brushes 1/3 up my leg at a time. I can tell I have bad circulation in some spots when the brush kind of burns when I brush in that spot. Also The brushing on my chest stays red the longest.The reason I brush before the shower is that in the shower I wash off all the dead skin and then I use a pure Olive Oil bar of soap to give the new layer of skin the best moisture. My skin has never felt so soft, trust me!This brush is a very good price and does a great job. After I'm done using it I rinse off the brush under the tub facet and scrub it with antibacterial soap to clean of the dead skin. I hang it over the tub facet knob and it's dry and perfect by the next day :)

I love this product and plan to continue to buy 2-3 sets every year. I lived in South Korea and Japan in my early 20's and loved visiting the traditional bath houses. When I built my house, I designed a Japanese style bathroom where you shower and then relax in a hot bath (and the water stays clean). I like to dampen this brush, then rub the brush on a bar of soap and then somewhat carefully scrub my entire body (except my face) to remove dead skin and to make my skin smooth and soft. Then I relax in a hot bath, watch some Netflix, eat some fruit, and when I get out I moisturize with a generous amount of body lotion. I try to do this once a week. I always hang the brush to air dry, or they will not last as long and get gross.
