This product was recommended by more experienced leather crafters. I use this over any painted leather projects. I've been very happy with the outcome. It does add a shine so if you want your leather to be matte this is not your best option. I'm happy with my purchase and use this often.

It's saddle-lac. It's the shiniest of all the leather finishes available. If you haven't ever tried it, seriously, do yourself a favor and get a can. It's amazing.

Great, however.....
This product provides an incredible shine with easy application, however...It's only really great for leather that won't be bent, flexed, twisted, etc. because it can peel off... like a bad sunburn... so be warned....
