These gloves were purchased to pull thorny weeds from around our air conditioner unit outside.We purchased two pairs of XL gloves: one for me and one for my husband. Normally, gloves are tight on my husband's hands but he was happy with these and how they fit his thick fingers. I have smaller hands than him and so they were fine for me as well.We went outside to yank the weeds that were entwined in the cage around the air compressor for the air conditioner. The gloves bent easily as i gripped the weeds and pulled. The thick plastic grooves on the outside of the leather gloves made it easy to bend my fingers like normal. Even though some of the weeds were from a prickly vine, I did not feel any through my new gloves. These vine thorns break off in the skin, and so it was very important to NOT let them through the gloves. The gloves worked GREAT for this!The extra length for the cuff of the gloves helped since I did not have long sleeves on. We live in FLORIDA and so long sleeves are very rare for us.I give these 5 stars for thickness, softness, bendability, and value.

They cover my arms well. I am using them to remove Greenbriar vines and they are near 100% effective. The XL size ordered may be running slightly small like that of a Large size but offer good movement and grip.

These feel good and allow far more dexterity than I expected. They are thinner than expected so time will tell if these actually are thorn proof. I followed the size chart and found it to be accurate. Not the cheapest of this type so I have hopes that they will hold up.

Fit is great, comfortable, but not totally thorn proof. I have a lot of wild blackberry vines and they still puncture the gloves, but these are big and strong thorns. I figured out that I needed to be careful grabbing the vines. The long sleeves are great for protecting the forearm. And the soft-touch finger-tips wore off within a few hours… but that’s OK for me cuz if I needed to use my phone, I remove the gloves. Overall, good gloves.

I ordered these for the specific intent to use them while clearing 1000sf of primrose and wild roses. The hand portions were well fitting and provided a significant amount of protection. Although it didn't eliminate all pricks, it withstood more than I was expecting. The forearm coverings were very durable and prevented a ton of scrapes and scratches. Unfortunately, the elastic band that closes off the gauntlets traps in sweat and moisture, so that was less than ideal. That being said, it was a small inconvenience for the amount of work the gloves were put through.

Keeping blackberry cut back was always a painful chore. The gloves keep the thorns out of the pace between regular gloves and a good shirt.

They seem sturdy. You have enough flexibility to move fingers even if gloves are a bit large around your fingers. I like that they cover your forearm, and you can pull a cord to tighten them over your sleeves so that greenery doesn't go up your arm. I've handled some rough greenery and thistles. I haven't handled long or very thick thorns yet. I do not know if larger thorns would puncture the gloves. Is anything puncture proof? I like them so far. I'd recommend them.

I bought these so I could have protection removing vines that have thorns. Unfortunately, they are almost useless. Only some of the glove material is strong enough to stop the thorns from getting through. Look at the pictures…you can see the darker patches in the palms. If a thorn presses anywhere outside of those dark patches, you’re in for a world of hurt.

For the price I was astonished that the fingers blew out in about 4 weeks. I garden part time and prune alot of roses so these gloves looked great. However 2 of the fingers have already blown their seams which for me really makes them useless while pruning very prickly roses. Would never purchase again.

These gloves are excellent!! The quality is great. The large size I bought fits my very wide large hands and even my wrists and part way up my arm. I was so much more easily able to pull out long weeds from my backyard. Before I got these gloves, I was using garden gloves and getting pricked so many times from the thorns on the weeds. I gave up for a while. Then I bought these gloves because they said they would prevent thorns from pricking you, and it's true! They do. No only that, but they gave me such a good grip on the weeds that I was able to pull well entrenched weeds root and all! I am so pleased with these. They have helped me so much to be able to get the many weeds with the root out of the ground in my yard which I was not able to before. I highly recommend them for weeding.

Love these. Thorny bushes no longer poke me. Comfy, durable with decent dexterity for the thickness.

Very comfortable, great fit. Got a medium, as I was concerned with finger length (small probably would have been perfect). I fit a medium/large in ladies gloves (usually large as I have long fingers). Excellent quality. Will buy another pair. Only possible improve it to have them be completely natural coloured not dyed yellow.
