Yoga Block (2-Piece)

I use these at my birth center for people to rest their feet on while sitting on a birth stool. They serve this purpose beautifully and because of their reasonable price I plan to buy additional sets to have in the other birth suites. They seem sturdy, but light, and I think they would serve their original purpose without any trouble. I have no complaints.

Despite what some reviewers have said - I find these blocks very sturdy. I'm about 6 foot and 220 lbs - they support me just fine (I got the purple ones). The finish on these is not the least bit slippery - so you can get a secure hand position with these. They appear to be very similar to GAIM's (I was in a store today and felt the GAIMs) - just less expensive. Some reviewers have commented on the smell. What little smell these do have is basically gone after 24 hours of unwrapping them - unlike some things that seem to have a permanent stink. I'm happy with them and glad I got them.

The yoga blocks are a beautiful color! Shipped very quickly and a great deal! They function really well and I have been enjoying using them in my yoga sessions. They are the perfect size and they are firm and provide excellent grip while still being comfortable/soft to use. Would purchase again!

There is really nothing special about them, they are sturdy foam yoga blocks. They are a good size and you get two of them for the price of one (a lot of the time). Some people complained about the smell. The smell goes away after a few uses and they really do not smell that bad unless you hold them up to your nose (but why would you...) They get the job done for P90X and any other exercise you might require blocks for. 4 stars because you can technically use anything you want (Styrofoam, shoe box, dictionary, phone book, etc...) as a yoga block and there is really nothing spectacular about these blocks. I would recommend them to anybody who does or wants to get into yoga - its worth the $15-20.

First a confession, as it may color this review. These are the first yoga blocks I have ever owned. For reference, if it matters/helps, I am a 5' 11" male with an athletic build, weighing ~ 185 lbs./84 kg. I am also somewhat new to yoga. I've dabbled over the years but only recently decided to spend more time with this practice as I approach the middle of middle age. I have found these to be a great help in my practice. I can't sit cross-legged without tipping over backwards, so I sit on one of these when needed and of course use for stability when doing deeper stretches. These have a lightweight rubbery-foam feeling to them and, I would assume, the color goes all the way through (I opted for purple). Aside from a very small amount of give when I put my weight on them (and I mean a *very* small amount - just enough to be comfortable), they are quite sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase and heartily recommend.

These are the blocks we use in my yoga class, so I wanted some for myself. I love how thick they are and that they're a little spongy rather than hard. This makes it easier to grip them and to do more restorative yoga poses comfortably. Highly recommend!

I bought these yoga blocks to use in my home practice when I'm away from the yoga studio. I've used other blocks that were smaller and made me feel less secure in a challenging pose. They are sturdy and the perfect size without being too hard. They are just what I wanted at a great price. When you first remove them from the plastic, there is a very strong chemical odor. But, as others have said, it goes away within a day or so. I put mine outside on a patio table overnight and by the next day the odor was completely gone.

I have never done yoga before in my life, but it is one of the workouts in P90X. After trying it once I realized that I am definitely NOT flexible enough to do all of the moves unassisted. So I purchased these blocks. Next came the real test, could they stand up to a newbie doing P90X? They could! And they have helped me tremendously, I was blown away at how much more I got out of each position by using the blocks to open up my chest more. They also create a much more stable platform for my hand than my fingertips allowing for a much safer and sturdier pose, which in turn allows me to focus on the targeted areas getting much more out of my routine. They offer resistance, but are soft enough that they feel better than my yoga mat for certain poses. For the price these were a fantastic purchase, I recommend them to anyone that is even thinking about adding yoga blocks to their routine. I love em!
