15" standard wooden chess set 2.5" king , checkers and backgammon game 3 in one game set best board chess game

I was very disappointed in this chess set. I did not expect a lot from a $20 set to begin with, but this is something you would find in a dollar store. It arrived quickly and we'll packaged just like most things from amazon. Once it was opened I immidiately noticed the board top is a sticker stuck to some cheap particle board only slightly superior to cardboard. The sticker top was peeled and bubbled in some areas. When the box was opened there was a large gap between the two halves and the sides did not line up causing the board squares to be misaligned. The pieces felt like they were made of balsa wood. Super lightweight. I'm not sure they would stay standing on the board if the ceiling fan was running. The finish on the pieces was horrible. It was very rough and uneven. The pieces actually felt gritty in my hand. There was no felt on the bottom and I am certain they would scratch the cheap sticker board surface the first move of the first game. The pieces have almost no detail and are very rough cut. I have attached some photographs of some of the mentioned problems. Again, I understand that I shouldn't hope for too much with a $20 set, but this was a sorry excuse even for a $20 board.

Horrible set. Not solid wood at all. Returned. Board was warped and would not lay flat, it was missing over 1/2 the white pieces and the hinges were rusty and bent. Really cheaply made with super cheap matterials. I have bought better sets from Walmart.

Absolute junk. It feels like it is going to fall apart, arrived dirty and rusted and the two pieces aren't lined up. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

It is nothing like the picture. The sides of the board don't line up. Would not recommend buying.

It's fine if your traveling, but just to sit and play at home get a larger (regular size) board. The dice are tiny! Again it is OK but I mistaken it for standard boards which I was used too.

This chess/checker set works very well for my family. It's small but suits our needs when we want to play. It's compact and easy to store, and the clasp on the side holds all the game pieces in.

This was a gift, they seem to be enjoying it.
