This cutting board is the perfect example of form follows function, I LOVE it! I researched cutting boards extensively, I cook several meals daily and I wanted something highly functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Something I wanted to leave out on my countertop. I also wanted a board that would be easy on my knife collection and heavy enough that it would stay put and light enough that it wouldn’t be a struggle to clean or move around. This size hits my sweet spot-big enough for lots of chopped veggies, but not so big that it’s not easily cleaned and stored. The teak is gorgeous, it’s hefty but easy to move around and the functionality couldn’t be better. The finish is excellent, the gift-worthy box is beautiful, so beautiful that I’m sorry I will not be gifting this baby, it’s mine all mine! I can think of so many applications for the little compartments on the reverse, it’s a genius idea. The liquid channel is deep enough to hold quite a bit of liquid, unlike most liquid channels on other cutting boards. It truly is a work of art, but one that is extremely well made, thoughtfully designed and well presented. You won’t be disappointed in this board!

This board looks so good, I kinda just want to hang it on the wall and never use it. It also feels great, nice and heavy and feels substantial. I’ve cut a few things on it and it doesn’t scoot around like my last one so that’s awesome. I’ve already had people instantly notice it in the corner of the kitchen so it definitely draws eyes.

I wanted a large board that is both functional and beautiful. I was so happy to find one that is designed in my hometown of Los Angeles! I love the other side with the compartments. This board is sturdy, heavy and has a gorgeous finish. I won't let anyone who is not decent with knives get near it though! I also really appreciate the box it came in - it honors the historic Bradbury Building in downtown. I kept the box!

I decided to purchase this gorgeous cutting board based on Chef Jean Pierre's recommendation re: using wood instead of plastic, etc., and I am so glad I did! It looks like a work of art sitting on my counter top - and mine stays in place. My wooden-handled Japanese knives are on a an artsy magnetic holder (walnut) on the backsplash above, and the look is stunning!Cleanup and care are a breeze - teak is 'the' way to go. Thank you for making such a quality product! :-)

So fantastic, we bought two more of them. Returned a board from a competitor, because it was merely "perfectly fine."1. Excellent size without being overly heavy, strikes an excellent balance between "substantial" and "manageable".2. Just beautiful to look at.3. Loved the details on both sides, making it a superior serving tray in addition to a carving board.As a bonus, I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but the box is a true work of art. If a person wanted to give this as a gift it's a really nice touch. I am having a hard time recycling it even though normally I don't keep many possessions (I'm an anti-hoarder), and generally dispose of boxes immediately.

Beautiful wood and appearance. Looks great and seems to be well made. No marks, scratches or any signs of defects and very solid. The handle "grooves" could have been better finished as they are not perfectly smooth. But no major issue with that. Board size I bought is the XL and is a very nice large size and has a good heft to it. Some may want to opt for a smaller size but I wanted a board that could handle any size turkey, roast, or large amount of chop and prep on the smooth, non-groove, side. Washed and oiled as soon as I got the board but very little oil absorbed so looks like they may pre-treat their boards before shipping which is very nice. Either way I will also use board wax before use as well since I want this board to last. Beautiful wood grain and well made. Recommended.

This board was given as a gift! I loved it when I received it... beautiful wood and heavy enough to stay in place. I love the dividers. The receiver said she loves it as well! Great wedding or house warming gift in my opinion! Made a great charcuterie board!
