HAFLINGER Unisex AS Slippers Wool Feltsole

Once upon a time I was gifted a pair of Haflinger slippers and the rest is history. They are the most comfortable, durable I have ever worn. This pair was at a (very) reasonable price [they tend to be a bit expensive] and the vendor delivered on time and as described. This will serve as my back up pair since I cannot tolerate being without this brand. This must be my 20+ pair. Great product.

This is my second pair of slippers from this company. They no longer make the pair I originally bought but they wore out. I have a very wide foot and have spent the winter trying to find a pair of comfortable slippers. This is the 4th pair of slippers I have ordered, 3 from other companies. I was pleasantly surprised that the unisex slippers fit as well and I'd hoped. I normally wear a size 8.5W in women's shoes. I ordered a 40 (9) and they fit perfectly and comfortably out of the box. Also, the soles are more sturdy than my previous pair. I'm well satisfied, so far.

I have been purchasing these slippers for years! I wear them indoors on hardwood floors. Love that they are backless and slip on and off easy. Don't need to wear socks because they are boiled wool and very warm.

It has a supportive insole with a bit of an arch and all in all is a top quality slipper for anyone's foot. It is especially helpful, however, for those with tender feet, flat feet, sore feet, those who wear orthotics or anyone who just does not want cold feet in the winter. They have a non slip sole that is meant for wearing indoors although you could wear them in the car if you have an attached garage and do not get out of the car while out anywhere. (You would wear them out very quickly if you did; not meant for that. Haflinger also makes a slipper with solid surface sole for wearing outside a bit and they also make very nice shoes for outdoor wear. I have a pair of their very soft supple leather clogs.)For me, having a slipper with a fairly supple sole so I can feel the ground somewhat...although there is enough padding for softness...and sort of grip with my feet, is a real plus for security and I can somewhat exercise my feet in them while seated, much as you can wearing just socks. They feel very natural on the foot.I keep 4-5 pair of these handy and wear them in the house most all year. That way, I can put a pair into the wash every week and have others to rotate so they last longer. I order a pair every few months and toss out the oldest pair. I love the glove like fit of the newest ones and when a pair gets out of shape and does not spring back from washing, or starts to come apart around the seam of the sole, time to replace for sure.I like black as it works with my slacks and I look dressed in the house for family and visitors. You can't say that about many slippers.I would recommend these slippers for anyone, man or woman, who wants the most comfortable slipper. But particularly if you need a bit of support in the arch...order a size or two up if you wear orthotics. And they are especially good for people who have sensitive feet and hard floors, or who have foot or circulation problems. As I said, you can exercise your feet somewhat with them on as they are not stiff. Not an orthotic slipper per se, but they do the job well. No; they do not wear like leather. But then, they are top quality and you are not paying for leather so you can purchase more or more often. You will find them worth every penny. And Amazon makes it so convenient. Personally, I watch for when they have black in stock, but other colors fit just as well.

I have been wearing Haflinger wool slippers for well over 15 years. They are great slippers, so warm, comfy and cozy, the perfect thing to slip on your feet after a hard days work. They also fit very well, as you wear them they start to form to your foot. Plus, because they’re 100% wool, a natural fiber, you can wear them year round. I find that they’re warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Additionally, I love that the soles are also 100% wool. Since I have hardwood floors throughout my home, the wool soles of these slippers work well and enable me to walk around my house without making a lot of noise. Fresh out of the box these slippers are a bit tight, but they quickly stretch out offering a true to size fit with a tiny amount of arch support. I absolutely love these slippers... so why did I give them only three stars? Because the quality of Haflingers is just not what it used to be. I wear my slippers around the house everyday, only while inside, but I find that after about 12 months they start to fall apart. The first thing that happens is the area by your big toe starts to rip eventually creating a hole. Next the sole of the slipper starts to separate from the top. I posted photos of a pair that I purchased about a year ago along with a pair that I just bought. Finally, after you get the toe hole and the soles fall off, the edges of the slippers start to fray. While all of these things are not earth shattering and you can repair them, I would expect that for almost one hundred dollars that these slippers would last a bit longer than they do. While they’re not made that well, they still are the best slippers on the market. Since I need to replace them every year, I try to wait until they go on sale before I buy the next pair. I have been very lucky in that the last few pairs of Haflingers that I purchased on Amazon were on sale and cost only about $45 dollars. Buyers of Haflingers should take note of the many different ways that sellers size these slippers. While the slippers are unisex, I still see them listed under women’s sizes, men’s sizes and European sizes. For example, I wear a mens size 10. Which is also a women’s size 12, and a 43 in Europe. Which means that I can buy any one of these because they are unisex. Searching for them this way has helped me find them on sale many times. To sum up, great slippers, very comfortable, well fitting and they keep my feet warm, but they’re poor quality. Thank you for reading my review! While these appear very nicely made, you may want to order a size up, as they are pretty snug - but to be fair, I have pretty large dogs. When I applied to exchange them for a larger size, the price had gone up significantly, so I just returned them. Too bad, they seem like really well made slippers, so if you get the size right, they will probably work out great.

This is my third pair of this slipper and I'll come back for more when I need a new pair. They are super comfortable, warm but not sweaty, quiet. I wear this slippers all year long around the house and they last for about a year. After that the sole start breaking apart (we have hardwood floors everywhere, so I wonder if it has something to do with it). They fit right to size but if you have high arch they may feel a fit tight at the top. They stretch ins about few weeks of wearing though.

These slippers are really comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and these have nice arch support. I wear a size 10, sometimes 11 depending on the shoe, so I ordered size 41 (women's 10) in these slippers and they are a little too big. Granted I do have narrow feet. I kept them anyway because I have laminate flooring and my feet have been killing me so I didn't want to wait for another pair.
