There are plenty of cheaper options on Amazon, but none of them have the particular back to back feather arrangement that makes them flutter like the originals do. The cats know the difference.

My male 3 year old indoor cat, goes full wild hunter mode with these feathered toys. He will eventually after a few minute of play get the toy in his mouth and try to sneak off to devour. I follow him around as if using a leash, so far I have been able to get the toy back, and continue play. Best to use before feeding, helps the hunting/reward behavior.

My Little Female Siamese shelter cat LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this game and is absolutely AMAZING. We needed refills because she LOVES game, and eventually wears out the feathers after playing it every single day. She jumps so high...I'd say as tall as a person and has become such an athlete. She inspires me to workout and become as strong as her. Recommend.

These are the best, but the cost is getting to be too much.I recently purchased my own Guinea feathers and some small fluffy feathers to tuck in.I save all the red caps and fishing swivels from the old used chewed up birds and I now make my own.

DaBird is literally the best cat toy ever. The way the feathers spin around like a real bird is incredible. These refills are hard to find and more expensive than I’d like but for special occasions I buy them and my cats are incredibly happy. Have to put them away when not in use or cats will tear them up. I wish they lasted longer but feathers start to pull out from the red cap.

My cats both are obsessed with this toy. It's like catching a real bird for them... sounds and looks like one is flying through the living room. Recommend getting a few depending on how aggressive your cat can be with it 😂

There is something about the DaBird products that our cats love. The wand with the feather is a little aero-dynamically different and sails through the air. I bought these replacement feathers for the wand and they are great. We don't leave it out though because they eat the feathers (and puke).

There is no doubt that every cat I have ever had loves this product. The problem is that it is ridiculously expensive for what it is and will only last about 2 to 3 weeks. It only lasts that long because I hide it when not in play. Otherwise it can be destroyed in a night. $8 for a cat toy that does not last is just too much. However, if you save the top and buy some quail feathers, it is an easy DYI project to make your own at home. It seems to be the fact that it is quail feathers that makes the difference for the flutter sound that drives cats crazy. Cut them in a similar manner and glue them in. I tried once with regular feathers but it did not flutter. Quail feathers make the difference.
