What is the estimated playtime for the new adventures?

One of them is 90-120 minutes and the other is 120-180 minutes. One of them is like a murder mystery clue style adventure which brings a little variety to the normal killing monsters adventures.

Does this bring everything needed to play or would I need to buy something else with it?

This is an expansion for Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition. You would have to have the base game in order to play this one.

Do the expansions change the base scenarios at all?

Yes it does. Do be warned buying them is addictive :) and having all the expansions makes keeping everything organized a pain. After a few play throughs I got everything situated. I own all but two expansions, so there are a lot of cards and pieces in my setup. I'd say it's definitely worth it though. If you can find the first edition at a good price I'd recommend combining the two. It's out of print and typically expensive though. I found one for 50 on an eBay auction.

Do you need the first edition to play the second edition?

No, you just need the 2nd edition base game to play this expansion. 1st edition is the same game, but without the helpful app to assist in set-up and controlling the game.
