Blue Buffalo Tastefuls Natural Food for Adult Cats, Weight Control, 7-lb. Bag

I,ve been using this cat food for years, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. My cat is almost five years old, and she has never been overweight. I started buying this as more of a preventative measure because she is an indoor cat, and sometimes doesn't get as much exercise. I know weight can cause lots of issues in older cats, so I decided to start her on this early to keep her at a consistent weight. She's ranged between 10 - 12 pounds, but mostly stays in the 11 pound range. She loves the taste, and goes wild when her food comes out of the feeder at feeding time. The food has always been consistent in terms of quality, texture, smell, and freshness. I switched from Science Diet, but this food is a better value for the money.

My cat is finally losing weight!!! This is the best quality for price weight management cat food! My cat who doesn’t need to lose weight has remained the same whereas miss chonkers here is obviously overweight and finally losing weight after refusing other diet changes. She’s a picky eater (despite the way she looks). She either hates it or loves it so it’s hard to get her to eat or it’s hard to get her to quit eating depending on the food. I had 0 problem changing her to this food and it even seems that my cats have a better energy which could also be helping trim her down and has not given either cat digestion issues. If anything, it has improved! I hope this food adds some years to my fur babies lives. This food is perfect and probably saved my chunky kittys life!! I have 2 cats - one who had a lot of weight to lose and one who is the pickiest eater I've ever seen, even for a cat. (Partly due to a sensitive mouth, but if he doesn't like his food he'll literally go without eating rather than get hungry and pick at it.)I try to feed my family good natural foods and always did the same for pets too, but when we learned that our older guy - the one who looooooves to eat - HAD to lose weight quickly for medical reasons, I bought the best that I could find quickly; a big name brand made with lots of fillers and unrecognizable ingredients. I hated doing it, but all of the wonderful premium foods at our local shops had no weight control options and our vet said that in his situation we really had to feed him weight control.I don't know why I didn't think to search Amazon sooner, but I'm so glad I did! I had never come across this brand at all but was immediately drawn in by the list of ingredients - all real foods, and the first one is deboned chicken. (As in, NOT corn, chicken meal, chicken byproducts, etc.) My husband and I couldn't believe it was really a weight control formula at first because all the others we'd seen so far were filled with all kinds of awful things, but it is indeed a good weight control formula. So it satisfied the cat parent in us... but what about our picky little guy who refuses to eat just about everything?He loves it.For the first time in his life with us (since late kittenhood), his dry food dish is empty after every feeding. He's lean and active so we supplement with organic canned food for him too, but that was usually all he would eat except for maybe a couple of pieces of dry food. Blue Buffalo comes with a "Finicky Floyd" guarantee on the back - apparently they have a picky eater there too who they try out all of their food with. If he doesn't eat it, they don't sell it. So besides having great ingredients, it's apparently delicious to cats too. :-)I would recommend this without hesitation. Both of my little guys are waiting for each feeding and are glossy, healthy, active boys. (My 11 1/2 year old has started playing like a kitten again since he's dropped over 5 pounds!)

Both my cats, one of them a picky eater, live the taste of the food. Their dry skin improved almost immediately. However one of the cats is throwing it up consistently. We can’t feed him this food. It’s a very good product. But be aware it might really disagree with your cat’s tummy.

Seems good but finicky dog wasn’t thrilled

my cat has been on diets for about 3 years now. nothing has worked. i’ve tried probably 10 different kinds of prescription cat food from the vet and none of them actually made my cat lose weight. since no prescription food was working, i ordered this. she was 20 pounds a couple months ago and is now 18.4 pounds because of this food!
