A Homework Manual for Biblical Living: Personal and Interpersonal Problems (Homework Manual for Biblical Living, Volume 1)

Im sorry, I dont like leaving bad reviews on Christian material, however I want you to save your money. The homework is essentially a list of Bible verses for the client to look up. Every once in a while you will find 'advice' such as in the chapter How a Christian woman can be useful; with such suggestions as: offer to baby sit and make clothes for a needy family. Im not a woman but it seems this advice would be more pertinent in the 50s. There are numerous references to serving in the 'tape ministry' -what year is this? The chapter on overeating has this helpful suggestion: "Observe thinner people and notice how well they look. Observe yourself and notice how sloppy you look" You got to be kidding me. Biblical counseling has to be more aware of the complexity than this. There is nothing you can gleam from this that you cant do yourself with a concordance. Expected more based on reviews and Wayne Macks background.

Love both books, and use them in counseling and in application for my own life struggles and problems. God's Word is so adequate to meet our needs. These books have saved me work in guiding me to Biblical answers revealed through answering questions pertaining to different issues revealed through the Word of God. Thank You Wayne Mack for teaching us to find answers for life's problems through the Word of God!

I am using this book for the homework assignments contained within. They are great for biblical counseling sessions because they are very pointed applicable.
