Old India Curry Leaves Dried 750g

They tasted and smelled like dried tea leaves. :( I’m indian and regularly I use curry leaves to cook. Haven’t been able to find fresh leaves in lockdown and got pretty excited when I saw these. Sadly, they were nothing like curry leaves and ended up making my dish a little bitter...I’m honestly not convinced they weren’t just tea leaves.

These are leaves, just not curry leaves. They have no flavour and no smell, dry, wet, cooked or not. Having used curry leaves extensively over the decades, I have a fairly reasonable expectation of what they are. Avoid these as there is no way to send them back I am left with this review as my only action.

Old India Curry Leaves Dried 100 g £8.14The leaves were very crushed, more crushed and powdered than any decent dried leaves and then the actual quality of the leaves was and inadequate. Very expensive for such poor quality: no smell and no taste - ruined a dish I was making for Diwali. Very disappointing considering all the positive reviews. I can only imagine I got a bad batch?Thanks,

How am I supposed to use this crumbs

Packet was packed well but I think stored badly. It arrive very Flat and squashed and most of the leaves are in tiny prices. Almost dust at the bottom. It does t smell very strong but I haven’t cooked with it yet.Fingers crossed it still has some flavour to impart.

So I’ve got a big bag of leaves and a lot of dust. They don’t smell like curry leaves. They don’t taste like curry leaves. Bin-bound.

No aroma. And that is the most important aspect of curry leaves. Don’t waste your money.
