Don't taste like real borlotti beans
Well packed, appear to be fresh and are good quality beans which cook consistently. However, they are different from Italian borlotti beans I am used to. They are slightly smaller and have an earthy flavour and dryer texture when compared to the creamier and softer characteristics I associate with borlotti beans. They are from Canada and either Canadian borlotti beans are very different from Italian-grown ones or these are something different such as pinto beans. As dried beans go, these are absolutely fine to cook with but don't have the special qualities that make borlotti beans special.

Bean looking everywhere for these!
Another one that's disappeared from most stores except in tins.I'd like to see an even bigger range of dried goods though. Dried pulses are ideal for basis of your stews, especially if you have a nice modern pressure cooker that can even cook them without soaking. Also, if you have a grinder attachment on your food processor, pulsed can all be ground to make them into soup powders at the press of a button.
