canon eos r compatible?

Open SD card slot. You should space for both types of storage cards.

Will the 256gb card work with canon 5D mark ii? my camera cannot read the card and claim the card is not formatted.

My 5D Mark II had the firmware updated by Canon themselves and the 256GB card from Lexar or SanDisk would not format in my camera. Tried everything suggested and card would not format. So the answer is no. Try 128GB.

does this fit into a canon 80D?

no, this is a CF card and 80d takes only SD cards....

will the 256gb work with my 5D Mark iii?

The most I ever shoot in my Mark 3 is 32 gigabyte so I don't know the Canon website should be able to tell you. I don't like to put so many eggs in one basket. 256 gigabyte would shoot thousands of photos in raw
