This has allowed me.to stream on a whole other level and I love it!! I love it so much, I'm here buying another one for another setup!!I haven't had it long so I can't comment on any longevity/durability challenges.

These seem to be pretty good and they do what they will say... What I will say is they seem to get pretty hot (yes the dongle itself gets hot....) when using the USB ports and charging the iPad at the same time... Not sure if this is normal - I will try another and see if the temperature is comparable.

Pros: When it worked, it was flawless.Cons: I was using a Sony camera and a regular iPad. Out of the box, it seem like I had to wiggle the cords a couple times to get it to work. I tried multiple combinations of different cords to see if it was my cords. Connected only a handful of times. During my event, I gave up trying to wiggle the cords and ended up not using it. To be fair, I probably just got a bad batch. I would recommend to give this a shot if you’re on a budget.

I bought this dongle for the purpose of sending higher bitrate lossless audio from my 5th Gen iPad mini to a DAC and then into my home receiver. This dongle would have added the convenience of keeping the iPad charged but also all allowing me to attached an ethernet dongle for a wired connection for streaming instead of streaming over wifi. When I plugged this 3-in-1 dongle into my iPad and try to play a song via Apple Music, the volume slider start jumping back and forth as well as clicking sounds playing through my home speakers (no music) then Apple Music stops the play back. The iPad recognizes the this 3-in-1 dongle but simply won't let the audio pass through the attached lighting cable. Connecting a charger to one of the USB ports works great, as well as my ethernet dongle connected to the second USB port - but audio to my DAC and onto my Receiver is a bust! I tried plugging this 3-in-1 dongle into my new iPhone 13 Pro Max and got the same results. This setup should work as I have done this before with dongles, iPads, DAC's and my home receiver.

This product does not transfer audio from external interfaces (scarlet 2i2 in my case). It won’t even sense it through the cable. It also hums and gets way too hot. But if you need a cheap usb input for something VERY minor, then it may do the trick. JUST GET THE OFFICIAL FOR ANYTHING ELSE. Best wishes

I got this item to connect my usb interface to my iPad. While recording I would have to frequently unplug the adapter because of the static that would transfer to my tracks. Definitely get the actual Apple adapter. This product does work just not very effectively.

Overheated immediately upon insertion in an iPhone. The iPhone did not recognize it or anything plugged into it as a mass storage device. It may have worked as a charger, but it got so hot in the few minutes it was plugged into the phone, we didn't want to add electricity. Smells of burning plastic.

One day I'll find where I put that. I think it works.
