Proper replacement part, easy to install
Simple drop in replacement part that is delivered fast and in excellent shape. Packaging was secure and protective so even though minor damage occurred to outer box, part was undamaged and ready for installation. Handy screwdriver included with product makes it easy for first time DIY buyer to easily complete this repair. I would recommend this purchase to anyone in need of a new battery for their laptop.

Disassemble your X551M Labtop prior to ordering battery if required!
I like that Amazon replaced the first battery I ordered with a new one! After I ordered the first battery for my ASUS Laptop I discovered after disassembly that the battery I ordered was a 14.8 Volt instead of a 11.25 Volt. You won't find this out until you disassemble the ASUS Laptop. The U Tube video was not helpful in determining what Volt battery you will need. So, I recommend you disassemble the laptop you have then order the battery you need. Thanks Amazon for the help!

Burned through my stock battery. Can now get 4-5 hours on battery alone.
I took some time to post my findings on this product just to see if it kept up to my standards. I bought this battery about a month before this review was posted and so far it has been holding up well. I've had my laptop for about 3 years and I burned through its battery, leaving me with 1 hour of battery life (1 hour and 26 minutes on a good day) and frequent power shortages. After installation, my battery life initially increased to about 4 hours and then evened out to about 5 hours because of less intense use on my part. I was really scared because my screen would suddenly blink out or power off completely, but it hasn't happened since and that has been a huge load off my shoulders. This has been a great buy for its price and I'm loving it so far.

First Impressions....
Replaced Asus X551 laptop battery. The Asus is an inherited laptop and the battery wasn't holding a charge. I got this new battery and it fit perfectly! Ran into one snag, there is a very small flat ribbon cable that took up the bulk of the time to reconnect, but eventually I did it!Along with the free windows 10 update from 8.1 that's still active after the official expiration date, and an anti glare screen protector for eye care when drawing on my Wacom Intuos Pro makes the laptop perfect for my needs!

Good quality
My laptop battery was so bad my laptop only worked plugged in. I followed a YouTube for instructions and it took about 15 mins to change batterie by myself..very easy. It's been a few months now and it's still going strong! I can unplug my laptop and it works 6 and a half hours off the new battery. Very pleased with this item and would buy again. Came in 2 days and was very cheap price. Highly recommend!
