Surgical Steel 4mm Ear Piercing Studs, 12 Pair Mixed Colors

I needed earrings to replace the earrings my ears were originally pierced with.The color selection is wonderful & the size is spot on.They are very comfortable to were with no irritation at all.The back snap on tightly but they are easy to remove.I wear them in the shower & pool with no tarnish.

These are not meant to be standard costume jewelry earrings. These are PIERCING STUDS. The posts are supposed to be thick because otherwise they wouldn’t be able to PIERCE a person’s ear(s) when used with the piercing gun. Due to cost cutting measures, most standard jewelry manufacturers - whether they be fine or costume jewelry - tend to skim on the thickness of posts (I’ve had posts bend or break off due to how thin they are). As a result, pierced holes start shrinking. I had my ears pierced 50 years ago...and I’d notice that certain pairs of my better earrings hurt when I wore them...those posts were sturdy, thicker...and not like newer earrings with their thin posts. I decided to get some of the piercing studs to wear 24/7. I pulled out a pair of my thicker post earrings and wore them while waiting for this set to be delivered. Of course my ears were sore, but I liberally used a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to soothe the ear holes. By the time these came, I put a pair in and other than some minor stinging from the alcohol, they feel great! Now I have a set of earrings I can sleep in and not even think about.About the earrings...these are exactly like the earrings used to originally pierce my ears. They’re petite “stones” but you can clearly make out the color. I love that they’re surgical steel and I love the locking backs...they won’t fall off. I am really pleased with this purchase! Crazy good price. I wish they had a set that included different colored stones AND different “all metal” studs in different shapes, like balls, stars, etc.

Really, Really love these earrings. I have very sensitive ears and I hate having to change earrings frequently. In other words, I put in earrings and leave them alone for months - literally. In order to do this I have to wear gold and cannot tolerate any cheap costume earrings, even gold filled will bother me. Gold is expensive obviously. When I was very young, I would purchase starter earrings and could only wear these but even in the early 90's they would run between $12 and $20 per pair, or more. I'm busy now and would not spend my time looking for or buying starters in stores.When it occurred to me to search for stainless steel posts on Amazon - these came up. I was thrilled with the price so ordered two sets. I could NOT be more pleased. These are truly starters - they even come in the sterile package and are labeled for piercing starters. What does this mean? Its means they are the best earrings you will find except for high end fine jewelry. They are comfortable, no poking while sleeping. The backs click into place and stay PUT, no riding up causing infections, no falling off. The little jewels shine in the sun. I have 5 piercings, 2 in one ear, 3 in the other and wear leverback gems in the primary first piercings and studs in the others. These earrings look FABULOUS next to my other gemstone earrings. Highly recommend these - could not be a better deal for you money and will last your lifetime.

From my wife... These earrings are exactly what I was looking for!I've had my ears pierced for 30+ years and never really had any issues to speak of. I've worn precious metals and costume jewelry with surgical steel posts. However, just recently I started to experience some swelling and itching in just one of my four piercings. I tried keeping them all extra clean, switching from sterling silver to gold, and using hydrocortisone cream. The swelling began to go down and the itching lessened but the piercing seemed to be trying to heal shut.My problem was that I didn't have any earrings that would be comfortable to sleep in, let alone secure enough to wear 24-7. Additionally, the vast majority of my earrings have posts that are smaller in diameter than the piercing studs I remembered as a girl.I decided that the only way to fully heal the problem piercing was to go back to the beginning and wear a piercing stud 24-7 so I can keep the hole open and twist the stud to promote healing, just like I did many years ago when my ears were first pierced.This is only the second day, so I'm unable to report on the actual healing, but I can tell you that these earrings are perfect! They come in sterile sealed pouches. They are beautiful and shiny and the backs click on to the end of the post to keep each earring secure in your ear no matter what you do. They also prevent the post from stabbing the back of your head while you sleep.As expected (& for me, as desired) the posts are slightly larger in diameter than my regular jewelry. However, they are actually quite a bit smaller than I remember. But maybe that's just because I'm bigger now. Lol!At any rate, if you are looking for piercing studs that have locking backs and are very pretty and well made, look no further! I highly recommend this set!
