Zonulin Stool Test – Determine Leaky Gut Syndrome – Measure Zonulin Value – Verisana Lab

I had experienced migraines and restless sleep for some time (probably covid-19 related) before getting to the bottom of it. When I was told to test for a “leaky gut” I didn’t know at first how this could be connected but I figured I may as well try it (and I had heard from friends who tried a DIY test before). It definitely gave me the answers I needed. Once I was able to treat my leaky gut syndrome (with a supplement that I chose based on the results in this test) my symptoms went away.

I spent the money for the candida test and the labs looked exactly the same and the just happened to be in the same range even though I know that I live in mold even that one came back in normal range. I called and no one answered. Of course no refund.

The instructions are quite poor and complicated. The first step (not listed on the instructions) should be to email the company for the shipping label. It takes 3-5 business days to get the label from them, BUT you have to ship the sample within the same day. So wait until you get back the label and then follow the instructions.Secondly Fedex will put the little shipping plastic baggies on the envelope, they don't include those.It took a while to get the results back, like close to 3 weeks, but I am very happy I still did this test because my test came back positive, my zonuline levels were very high.I am happy I was able to figure out my Leaky Gut diagnosis before my GI specialist at Kaiser. BTW, for what ever reason it's not common procedure to do zonuline testing in the medical field (naturopathic doctors seem much more willing to do a zonulin/leaky gut test).I was having these symptoms form leaky gut:vomiting, diarrhea, vertigo, losing weight and nausea.I had to cut out 50-70% of things from my diet that I was sensitive to, basically all artificial and 'natural" flavors, MSG, fake sugar like aspartame (I loved diet drinks) and wheat. I did another food sensitivities test and found out I was sensitive/positive for wheat. This was another good test to do because I thought it was glutin, but it wasn't, I can eat glutin if it's from other sources like Rye. It's typical with leaky gut to develop food sensitivities, I sure did ,so you will probably want to do that test as well that I found on amazon through a company called Everly (they had better instructions than this test).I highly recommend Dr. Axe's book about leaky gut called "Eat Dirt". I have been following his leaky gut protocol and suggestions and I have been able to limit 95% of my symptoms, it's just when I eat something processed then it's a hit or miss whether I will feel sick or not.I would recommend this Zonulin test because I believe it's the only one on amazon with prime shipping and it did what it was supposed to do.

I received the test and followed the directions. You need to write them for the shipping info. There are certain days to ship. Resultsdidn’t come for almost 3 weeks. Once I received the lab report it was very detailed. Pretty easy process!

It was definitely easy with the instructions also I found the plastic container a little too small while it had to get filled almost to the top it was not easy to fill it with the little spoon through the small opening of the tube.When I received the label I was wondering that it went out of the country all the way to Germany. I can't believe that there is no lab in the whole US to do that kind of testing!?
