Love 👏🏼
Huge fan of this bottle. I drink way more water than I used too. Easy to clean, doesn’t leak and I personally love the rubber tip.10/10 from me

Awesome redesign of the classic bottle!
I've been using Camelbak Eddy bottles for at least the past 10 years. They are the perfect bottles to bring with you to work, outside, or the gym. I mainly use my bottles at the gym where I can easily carry it around and get a quick drink of water whenever I need. What I love about the Eddy bottles is that they are durable and leak-proof. I never have to worry about my bottles cracking when dropped or leaking all over my backpack, and I've dropped many of them! The new redesign of the Eddy+ bottle bring some welcome changes. First of all, the loop on the bottle is bigger. Now instead of only being able to fit one finger though the loop you can now put 3 fingers through it. Now I feel like I'm less likely to drop the bottle when carrying it around the gym.The spout also got a small redesign. Instead of the spout being convex, it is now concave. I didn't know how I felt about the change at first, but it's proven to be very useful. I feel like you can get slightly more water out of the spout and there's a handy spot for your tongue to rest (if you like putting your tongue against your water bottle?)Lastly, the top of the bottle has been slightly redesigned. There's no longer a screw under the spout like on the old bottle. I often found that grime would get caught in this screw from time to time and you'd need to manually scrub it, but it is now gone. The Eddy bottle is a challenge to clean by hand. CamelBak sells scrubbing kits just to clean their bottles. I've found that if I put the bottles, straws, and lids in the dishwasher after use, the bottles come out sparkling clean. From experience I've found that only washing the bottles by hand without using a scrubbing brush allows grime to buildup in the bottle over time no matter how often you wash the bottle. You have to be EXTRA careful to clean inside the spout, under the lid, and where the straw connects to the lid. I've found that if you ignore these places, black mold spots are guaranteed to grow after a while.Overall I love these CamelBak bottles and the new redesign is definitely a step in the right direction for me! I'll definitely buy more of these when I inevitably lose my current bottle.

Your options with this bottle: turkey mating call, or Ol' Faithful
To preface this: I love CamelBak eddy bottles. I've purchased probably around eight 1L CamelBak eddy bottles over the past five years, and have used them every single day. They come with me everywhere (kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, napping, work, class, etc.) and they've been pretty reliable-- not perfect, but definitely great. However, several years takes a toll on bottles when you use them so much. My old stash had grown warped, leaky, and moldy from the use and abuse, so I finally invested in two new bottles. I thought these were just like the Eddy bottles I've been buying for the past half decade... I was wrong. The "new" design is a joke. After washing, I tried using the bottle without a straw first. The sound of the air being pulled into the bottle to balance pressure straight-up sounds like a turkey mating call. And it's LOUD. It was heard across my house. Thank God I wasn't in public, or a wayward hunter might have taken me out to prep for Thanksgiving. The chance of me using this in the gym, work, or class is less than 0.So I tried putting the straw in. It's silent to drink from this way, thankfully... but an hour later when I came back to the bottle, I found a puddle surrounding it. Not from condensation, oh no. The cold water in the bottle had warmed up, increasing the pressure inside. And as the only way for fluid to leave the bottle is through the mouthpiece-- which is now connected to a straw, which is now sitting in water-- the pressure was balanced by forcing water out of the mouthpiece little by little over time. So now I have a nice puddle on my coffee table. When I tried to lift the valve to drink, I got an extra geyser all over the couch. And lastly, the valve on this one is terribly shaped. The last design worked perfectly!! It didn't need to be changed! The new design takes some tongue dexterity to operate decently at best-- and I don't want to have to make out with my water bottle to get some hydration, ya know?I'm honestly really disappointed. These used to be fantastic bottles, and an easy way to keep track of fluid intake. Now, at best, they're good hunting accessories, or a way to teach high-schoolers about thermodynamics. Not remotely acceptable for a simple water bottle though.

Drinking from this model can be frustrating compared to older models.
I have used the Eddy bottles for years now through several design changes. This is definitely the best looking one and it doesn’t seem to leak at all. The larger handle compared to the old style is a nice feature. However, it’s the hardest to drink from. Usually it’s impossible to get water out on the first sip and sometimes the second one too. At first I thought it was something about the straw- flipping mechanism (when you pop it out from the folded position) that was causing it, but now I think it’s something about the bite valve. I’m not sure, but it’s frustrating. I would go back to the older style if I could, because I never had a problem like this before.

Great Bottle
Camelbak has revised their original eddy bottle, which I owned two of and loved. Unfortunately, I lost both of those through the years and was eager to replace it with something newer. After doing a quick search on Amazon and not seeing their newest offering, the eddy+, I was going to order from CamelBak's site directly. It wasn't until I searched through CamelBak's Amazon storefront that I saw the newest eddy+ bottle.I am so happy with my purchase. The bite valve no longer has the tendency to tighten up and not allow water through the straw. The straw is thick enough to be sturdy, and wide enough to allow sufficient water flow. CamelBak also widened their carrying handle to allow two fingers (the original bottle was smaller.) The top of the bottle feels sturdy enough to attach to a bag via carabiner or cordage for hikers/outdoorsman.CamelBak also made note of the packaging that this bottle was BPA free, so that's always nice. Their packaging was very lightweight and didn't use any unnecessary materials. I do enjoy this purchase, I will likely be purchasing 1-2 more depending on needs.
