Demon Love Spell, Vol. 1

Miko & Kagura
Such a cute start to a paranormal, comedic, romantic manga. I'm excited to see what happens next. I did have a questionable moment with the hamster, but it was hilarious.I'll definitely be reading more from this artist.

Different
The opening scenario to this series seemed really rushed.I've read the second book also. There are basically 2 stories in each book. The intro to the 2 main characters could,in my opinion, have had more back story devoted to it but instead they are thrust together in the first few pages. You shouldn't let that deter you because it definitely gets better.I love this artist's sense of humor which she even manages in to pull off in serious moments. The stories get better with each subsequent one and you can tell by the second book that she has comfortably settled into the look and feel for the main characters.I find the series refreshingly different with a sense of humor that is awesomely and appropriately self-aware and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new series to read.

Great pilot novel
Of course this being the first volmume, I didn't know what to expect. I do love the dynamics of the characters and where the story is taking place. It's not following the norm of what I usually read about two main characters and one is completely devoted to the other and tries to win their affection. So I look forward to reading the next because I can't stand that cliff hanger they left me with.

Buy it! Don't even think twice!
This series is absolutely adorable. If you're a huge fan of cute romances, this is one you cannot pass up. The main character is an amateur priestess and through pure luck she binds a sucubus demon and so the story begins of their journey to figure out how to unbind his power. During which time they become really attached to one another, as the he's a real stand-up guy underneath all the seductive induendos. If you're worried about raunchy material, this is a good book for you as well. Though I would agree this is an older teen novel, its not all about the smut like some novels I've preveiwed.

Keep this, drop that, read on!
The story starts off very quickly, which makes sense once you know this was originally supposed to be a two-episode series. Mike's confusion regarding her own feeling is endearing and something many can relate to. The use of certain foul language, I find unnecessary and doesn't really add to the series but I'm looking forward to seeing what Miko will do regarding her "Foxy" new pursuer!

Good
Worth the read. It is very artistic and enjoyable. The details in the drawing are amazing really wish this volume had a couple colored in pages especially after how vibrant and eye catching the title page is.

Pretty good!
I'm really glad I tried this out. I did enjoy it, however, it seemed really fast paced. I mean on the fifth page, she's already met the Demon Kagura and is trying to get rid of him and then by the end of the volume, she's fallen in love with him.But it was still really good and I'm ready for the third volume to come out. (Already bought the second because I got hooked on the first!)

Loved it
I was pleasantly surprised by this manga. It has likable characters and is sexy, but has humorous moments as well. I will definitely be buying the other volumes. Oh, and chibi Kagura was a good idea, he's adorable and brings something unique to this manga, and without overusing it. I have been looking for a good human/demon love story besides kamisama kiss and I found it with this.

That’s it?
Ok, let’s start with the positives. I liked the plot, Miko and Kagura had good interactions and had me laughing, also liked Miko’s parents whenever they popped up. Nice artwork.Negatives, this first one is only minor, but fox dude at the end looked exactly like Tomoe from Kamisama Kiss! And the bigger negative for me, Miko started out so strong willed, but the more the story went on she just seemed to have less confidence in herself and it became more about her feelings with Kagura. My own fault wanting less romance and more fun.

Demons, priestess oh my!
I liked the heroine of this story. She's not "perfect" but that doesn't mean she is some useless and hard to relate to "Mary Sue" character. She's realistic and likable. The male character (a Incubus) first impression didn't bode well but he is not only a good character in his own right but interacts well with the heroine, be it in a fight with other demons or in a simple argument. As for the story and artwork? The artwork is lovely. it's not "sugary" like some "girl" manga yet it still remains romantic. The story itself works well, it's not a predictable "read once, never read again" story. The characters (not just the main characters) are well thought out and very natural. The "romance" scenes aren't sappy nor is it emotionless fan service. In short, it's a romantic, funny, not smutty and cute read.

Fun
A nice, light-hearted story about the trainee priestess who manages to capture an incubus who in turn has to protect her from all his enemies trying to kill both of them. The story is generally funny and the main character is not totally helpless which is a nice change from other shojo mangas.

Cute love story with a twist
I adored this. Milo is a spirited girl and Kagura a cute demon. The path of true love never runs smooth. Together they make a fun team.
