I've been looking for small projects I could do with my son to work on his fine motor. He's eight and in Occupational Therapy. I wanted a project that could be finished in half an hour and wouldn't be too frustrating. This worked out fantastic. We made these one at a time and put them on our Christmas tree. Each one was a perfect small project he could do with some adult supervision. So happy with our purchase!

My 8year old son LOVES to sew with my grandmother. This kit does not come with step by step instructions for children who have never sewn before. My grandmother had to tell him what order the front embellishments went on and how to knot the string and when to switch colors. She said someone who knows what they’re doing needs to assist the child who has no idea and that this is not a good ‘first timers learning’ kit. She said the fact that the holes are in the cloth makes it very easy, and my son was easily able to quickly go around the outside of the fabric after stuffing it to sew it together, but that the rest of it was above his head. In other words, if I had been the one attempting this with my son, they wouldn’t have some out right because I don’t know a lick about sewing to be able to help him. Better step by step directions needed!My son quickly lost interest during just the first one- they did the Christmas tree first.

I bought this for Christmas occasion. My kid loves this because they are cute and it's fairly easy to follow instructions. This is her first sewing set and she was proud when completed then.

These arrived super quick and they made a great elf on a shelf hide and seek game for our 9 year old daughter! She loved them and we were super pleased with them
