I have two bolts in the tail light assembly on my Harley that sheared, or broke in half. I bought this extractor set to remove the broken sections. First, the drill portions of the extractor set were unable to drill through the bolts, so I had to break out my drill bits. Second, I started with the smallest extractor and made sure the hole was drilled deep enough and just wide enough to insert the extractor, but the threads on the extractor are not coarse enough to grip the bolts, nor strong enough, and they simply stripped away, so I tried each size, progressing up, with the same result. The only extractor I was unable to use was the largest one, as it was too large for the bolts. The metal used to make these extractors is inferior, and the design on the extractor threads is insufficient. Now I must figure out how to remove the remaining portion of the bolts. Very disappointing!

Works as it should
So far so good. I used the smaller one and it worked fantastic. Only time will tell how long they will last before they get stripped themselves. That’s why I gave it 4 stars.

The steel this was made of is softer than the screw heads I'll never order them again

Soft alloy. Not durable
One of the extractors failed on the first use. The steel in the damaged screw was harder than the steel that the extractor is made of, resulting in a damaged extractor - that is now useless

Not worth it
Crap. Showed up late. Case all warped and busted. Missing a no2 size - just crap... but that’s my luck tho.. lol just saying - they also last about 10 uses IF that before they are just worn to garbage ... do yourself a favor and hit Home Depot for the good ones if you use these
