Does it make noise when flicking?

If by "flicking" you mean opening the top, then no, it makes no noise. If you are referencing the act of pushing the button to light the flame, then yes, it clicks then sounds like a normal jet lighter.

Will this lighter work after being completely submerged in water?

Not sure if it will work after being submerged in water, however, if PREMIUM BUTANE FUEL is used, you should have no problem with this lighter working 100% if the time! I own several of these lighters.. PREMIUM BUTANE FUEL MUST BE USED!!! Not the junk you see at the grocery store checkout lanes.

Will this work above 12,000 feet elevation?

I’ve had it to 10,500 feet with no issues

Is this travel friendly? will it pass tsa on a carry-on?

I seriously doubt it. Still has a combustible inside it. Really good lighter though! 👍🏻
