Old school
Bought this timer before we left on vacation for 5 days to turn the living room lights on in the evening time, worked like a champ once I fiddled around with the dial for a minute and got my times set where I wanted them. Great little timer for under $10

Fantastic electric timer
Such a reliable piece of gear! I use mine to turn on lights in the common area of the house at the same time each night and it does a great job of that. Very reliable, easy to use, cheap and simple. Very good buy for the money.

Pins are too easy to push in, too hard to pull out and setting time is rough, but it works.
These are of a fairly old fashioned design that hasn't changed much in decades. It's pretty simple overall to do with the main problem being that you may need to use something small like a pen to actually push in the pins themselves if you don't want to push in two or possibly even three when using fingers. If you need to pull one out it can also be hard (I had to pull out any nearby ones with each then just push what I needed back in after.) To set the time you have to manually force it to turn one way (which seems maybe not good for it) either while it's plugged in or plug it in fairly quickly after you set it since it relies on power to turn the dial. This is not terribly accurate and can get off over time, so may require readjustment once in a while depending on how much accuracy you may need in a timer. I also had, of all things, troubles with my cats managing to push a whole bunch of them in just playing nearby and bumping into it. You may or may not have similar problems depending on any animals in your house. If you have dogs they might just push them all in entirely.Overall it gets the job done and it's cheap. I guess this is part of why they haven't changed the design in all this time -- no one wants to spend any R&D on redesigning something that at least works. However, I will say that I can think of a few ways it might be improved all the same. That said, if you really want the best design you'd want to go to a digital timer with a relay instead and the main point of this one is mostly just that it's so cheap.

Great For Auto / Boat / Mower / Motorcycle / RV / ATV Battery Maintainer
I use these for my homemade battery maintainers for 12V lead acid and AGM batteries, by combining them with a small 1A-2A battery charger. Currently I have this setup on my boat, diesel F250, second car, motorcycle, 2 riding mowers, and a zero turn mower. I have tried automatic battery maintainers and they seem to "cook" my batteries over time, resulting in shortened life. So I went with a timer system that tops off my batteries' charge once a day, by having this timer turn on for half an hour to an hour per day (depends on the battery size and whether the vehicle has parasitic draw). Just leave the charger connected normally but plug it into one of these timers for a daily top-off. It makes my batteries last for a very long time, and they're always hot and fully charged without being cooked. I find that these timers generally last 5-7 years, and end of life is usually indicated by them stalling right at the threshold of turning the outlet switch on. They're cheap enough that if one gives any problem at all, I just replace it with a new one. I'm not too particular with brand name on this type of timer, but these GEs seem as good as any and work well. Using these with the above described maintainer setup has saved me huge amounts of money on replacement batteries over the years.

Excellent
This works and is simple to programme. After buying a dud from Canadian Tire I was relieved to receive this properly-functioning timer.

Perfect for Christmas decorations that you can’t reach plug easily
These work great! Easy to use with the tabs. Bought 6 of them so Christmas decorations came on without moving furniture to plug in.

Buena calidad y sí son GE
Gratamente sorprendido pues aunque en el título decía “GE”, en la descripción decía otro fabricante y sí, son GE. Pequeños y prácticos,Bien construidos, parece que funcionan adecuadamente.
