Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation) stars as a newly single dad navigating the good, the bad, and the weird of the 30-something singles scene in the whip-smart comedy GOODBYE TO ALL THAT. When his wife unexpectedly informs him that she wants a divorce, well-meaning but oblivious husband Otto Wall (Schneider) finds himself thrust back into bachelorhood. What follows is a hilarious sequence of romantic encounters from reconnecting with a former crush to online dating as Otto searches for a real connection amidst a string of one night stands. Directed by the acclaimed writer of Junebug, this sexy farce co-stars Anna Camp, Heather Graham, Amy Sedaris, and Melanie Lynskey.

When Couples Don't Fight
Otto Wall is a middle-aged man whose wife, Annie decides to file for divorce. They share a kind-hearted daughter named Edie. Goodbye to All That is a film about a man who struggles with the collapse of his marriage and the ways he tries to cope, mostly through sexual escapades with several different women, some of it comic, much of it, about a man who desires for more but finds intimacy just out of reach. But it is also about the ways in which a marriage falls apart because neither Otto nor Annie ever talk about the things that really matter. In fact, they never fight---which should be a red flag in any marriage. This film is a subtle critique of married couples who think they're fine because they dodge difficult conflict---when in fact, the risk of genuine conflict can bring people together and even help them to understand one another better. The writer avoids taking sides--but it is clearly Otto's story. And it is his side where we place our focus.Much of the film is about Otto attempting to "move on" and struggling to do so. When he encounters a relationship from his distant past, he considers his options and subsequently, makes a mature choice for a greater good, even if that means a sacrifice. This is one of those art-house films that some folks won't like----you have to work to put the pieces together; granted, it's not tough but it does require reflection. When was the last time you saw a film about a recently separated man who was not a total jerk, but just a decent guy trying to find his way?

Low Budget Maybe? Rather low class concept here really, just not very classy
Well I want to actually like this movie, but when he got to dating I cannot believe that no matter how beautiful a woman is a guy would be interested in someone with so little class as the first woman he goes out with. Oh well, guess this must have been written from a man's point of view? Maybe. I can't really relate to it but then not fully liking the male lead either. His EX wife is a real "jewel." Well I feel sorry for him, but I am not enjoying his romp through sexual enlightenment.

Watchable
A pretty bland movie, but somewhat relatable and well-cast.

Somewhat boring movie
I watched this movie with my wife. It was an OK movie. We were looking for a light hearted romantic comedy we have not already seen. This movie didn't fit the intent. We both thought it was not very funny and somewhat boring.

Sort of funny (NOT hilarious as advertised)
Sort of funny (NOT hilarious as advertised), quirky and graphically sexual. Interesting. But not great. I liked Paul Schneider.
