can i sleep in it or should i put a sheet over it?

Why wouldn’t you want to use sheets? They’re easier to wash and dry than this mattress pad and not having sheets is a good way to damage/destroy your mattress pad. Some people don’t use top sheets- again, a good way to destroy nice blankets or comforters. We sweat, lose skin, hair and all sorts of lovely things. Think of sheets as underwear for your nice mattress and good blankets.

Why this product doesnt come in other solid colors?

It's the pad that goes under the fitted/bottom sheet. Mattress pads rarely come in any color other than white.

Can this mattress pad be used on a waterbed?

I think it tell you in the description how wide the mattress can be. If your water bed fits in those parameters it should fit on your water bed.
