So very good it is now a pantry staple ! The taste and texture are perfect. Cornbread has never been better and scones are a special treat. Easy to bake with and the color makes a great impression on guests.

Fantastic product. So far used for corn bread which came out rich and flavorful. Excited to try this in other recipes! Texture is medium/course- may grind further for use in tortillas. Can't wait!

This and the Blue Hopi cornmeal is by far the best cornmeal any of us have tasted anywhere. It's great for frying and kind of gives a boost to the taste. We used to use Quaker, tried several organic cornmeals, and thought we had some good ones we liked. We tried this because I thought the different type would be interesting and the older strains are interesting, but I think we were all shocked at the taste difference in comparison. Going back to what we used to get now, especially the degerminated junk, would feel like a hardship or like it's missing something (it is!). If this review sounds a little bit too glowing, there's a reason for that. It's really good, and I'm picky....so to make me sit here and write this is saying something. But if it was as bad as it was good, I'd be ranting so it's not fair if I don't give them the kudo's they deserve. We ordered 1 lbs of Bloody Butcher Cornmeal and 5 Lbs of Blue Hopi. We liked it so much and went through it so fast that we doubled the last order. ...should give you an idea.

This organic Hopi blue corn cornmeal is marvelous! I buy 3 packages at a time to make sure I have backups in my freezer. I savor each bite of the cornbread I make with it.

Why would they put this fine organic product in plastic bags full of BPA and other contaminates? But the picture on Amazon shows it in a paper bag.

Yes, even with the preferred-not shipping charge, this stuff is worth it, amazing! I just follow the recipe on the bag. How to describe —- It’s beautiful, both rustic and elegant, has great depth of fresh flavor and a pleasing combination of whole-grainy and just-right density, and it’s moist. I store the balance of the cornmeal in the fridge, in its bag , for months. Imbues the cook with a bit of the pioneer spirit.
