Simple installation; I added some flat washers & lock washers after I applied Never Seize to the threads. My trailer's tongue weight is 600 US pounds and jacking is easy but not fast enough for the Daytona pit crews. If you can spare a minute then this jack could please you. ;^)Due to my weight distribution choice I must lower the hitch onto the ball, secure it, then, raise the tongue AND truck enough to set the steel bars in place without wrecking my back. The Jack doesn't complain at all. Then, I raise the jack/lower the tongue until the jack's upper limit switch cuts off the power.Image 1 shows the switch on the right in the ON position illuminating the two lights on either side of the jack. The light appears bluish and not too bright but I never set up the trailer in the dark. The top halves of the lights are shielded to obstruct from your eyes while lighting the area below.I don't hardly trust anything made these days to stay weatherproof for the length of time that I intend to keep it. THAT's why I use a plastic bucket to shield the the innards from the sun and rain. The bucket is a common 10 lb. pool chemical bucket. Works fine, lasts long time and the fit is snug enough so that it stays on without a bungee while on the Interstate highway. :^)HTH

The lift works better than the original lift. Easy to install and looks good on trailer. I don’t like to write a review without using a few times to make sure it works properly. The lift has passed all working functions with no problems. The lift had good reviews and that helps in purchasing process, local camper store were out of a few models and the price was better on Amazon. The new lift is quieter than original lift and looks more waterproof, I also purchased a cover to keep sun and rain off lift motor but when I received lift unit it is really well designed.

I'm very happy with this jack. It is not slow like some I've seen and it just works well. Has a large foot and for my type of distribution hitch I use, its made it very easy to put that on and off because it requires lowering and raising the jack twice each way to get it set. I also am able to open my tailgate and not hit the jack. So overall this was exactly what I wanted.

Easy fit and operates perfectly. Small negative is the twist-turn cap has an O ring seal to stop water getting into the crank head mechanism. The O ring easily falls out of the cap. Needs a tiny dab of silicone to hold it in the cap. If water enters, it drips directly into the thrust bearing - bad - thats what killed the last unit

This product was a replacement and decided on more power. Works well and was easy to install.

After going through 3 L*****t 'Smart' jacks (1-federal recall, 2-intermittent operation, 3-arrived with cracks in plastic housing) I decided to shop for a heavy-duty replacement. This jack, branded by a company I have known for years, arrived in pristine condition- packed in a styrofoam nest instead of a few cardboard wedges protecting the jack inside the shipping box. Everything was included, notably easy to read and goof-proof instructions. The simple toggle-switch (in weatherproof rubber boots) controls worked flawlessly as opposed to the 'Smart Jack" - hold two buttons for 3 seconds, then one button for 5 seconds to raise the jack.... - that I never did figure out how to use. Highly recommend the Stromberg Carlson.

Replaced original jack. Easy to install and works great! Faster up/down than the original tongue jack.

Its smaller than the 3500lbs model. Was easy to install. Seems strong enough to do the job!

this electric jack was an exceptional product. it came with all the necessary parts for the install.new bolts , crusher contact washers , plenty of wire to reach my batteries, fuse holder with 2 -30 amp fuses.On reading other competetors reviews that claim the wire was too short & had to be spliced. they had to purchase the fuse holder & fuse extra.This jack operates very quietly & efficiently.I guess made in USA means better Quality.

works good for my camper, easy to install

I was harder and took longer to remove the older ( not a Stromberg Carlson unit ) than it did to install this unit. I have used the new jack a couple of times and works great, lights are fine, nothing special but the level built into the cap to access the manual lift mechanism is handy. Note on install: As this was replacing another motorized jack, I only had to hook up the control power and not the, included, fuse.
