Really gorgeous rice that barely clouded the water while rinsing. Cooked up perfectly in my instant pot to become just a bit glutinous, with a nutty taste and just a little bite. I was brought up on brown, long grain rice but this short grain is so much nicer. Can’t wait to mix it with different grains. FWIW: Instant Pot recipe I used: Ratio 1.25:1 water to rice (so 2 1/4 C water to 2 C dry rice), 20 minutes high pressure, 15 minutes natural release minimum (although full NR better) then fluff up.

First of all, this rice had more grit in it than I've ever experienced in over 20 years of eating short grain brown rice! Unpleasant, even after a thorough rinsing before the cook. I have to rinse, cook, rinse again and if having the next day, rinse AGAIN with boiling water (I don't think this is recommended practice with rice, so not advocating this). This is the only time I've not crunched down on pieces of grit. I bought 1KG short grain brown rice, based on price and ethos. Looking for organic but don't wish to pay that much at mo. Flavour, texture, quality seem on a par with organic short grain I've had many times from different brands. I don't mind a bit of realness with my food, eg, having to rinse mud of veg (shock, horror!) but I've never chowed down on such gritty rice in my life. I am going to buy it again and see if it's the same. Maybe was a rogue pack.

Good quality rice

Love this rice and have managed to buy it on sale a few times. Definitely recommend and will buy again - even at full price. Well worth the money.

Upon opening the package, I noticed that it has an unpleasant, off smell, which is typical of expired or spoiled rice. The product does not meet my expectations for quality and I can’t return it. Be careful what you buy!

I ordered a few bags to make up the postage. Nice rice, good flavour and even my husband likes it which is impressive because he always complained about brown rice in the past! Cooks well in the rice cooker but only needs 1-1 of water at the very most. The eco friendly packaging is a big plus.
