I like Channellock, but not the 317 that was sent to me
I have many Channellock tools that I purchased about 20 years ago, and they have been good tools. I received the Channellock 317 long nose pliers and returned them immediately. The two sides of the pliers only made contact at the very tip and there was a huge gap between the two sides. Also, Chanellock is putting on a clear coating to prevent rust which is a good idea, but it looks like it is just slapped on with a paint brush. Finally, Amazon said they would refund my return shipping costs and they did not refund my shipping costs for a defective item. Amazon also did not allow me to exchange it which is what I wanted to do.

Quality, useful, heavy duty
These pliers are awesome. My partner got them when he was working construction, and used them every day for tying wire and building. Now we use them frequently around the house and yard for projects. They are easy to grip, have a firm grasp, handy wire cutter, and last forever. His are many years old and still going strong, and I just got a second pair for the garage so he can take his to his new job. We tried other brands and they were not nearly as good. These are heavy duty.

DIFFERENT ITEM THAN PICTURED!!!
BOUGHT THIS ON THE PICTURE BUT INSTEAD OF RECEIVING A LARGE PAIR OF NEEDLENOSE PLIERS LIKE PICTURED I RECEIVED A PAIR OF "LINESMAN" LOOKING PLIERS WITH A BENT LEG ON ONE SIDE FOR TWISTING WIRE. WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE MORE COMPARISON SHOPPING TO SEE THE ACTUAL PICTURE. PLEASE CHANGE THE PICTURE OF THE ITEM TO MATCH WHAT IS BEING SOLD.

As good as a Klien IMHO... need replacement spring
This oversized head is wonderful and cuts like a Klien with a handle I actually love. My only concern - A fellow carpenter borrowed them from me and took out the spring. Who does that? haha. I have had zero luck finding a replacement spring.

Cutting jaws are too soft to cut anything but tie ...
Cutting jaws are too soft to cut anything but tie wire. Cutting #9 wire ruined the jaws in two weeks.
