The speed square was as I expected and the tape measure was better than I thought but the book was "Swanson's Blue Book of Rafter Lengths & Roof Construction" and not “Swanson's Blue Book for Roof and Stairway Layout" which was the main reason I bought this set. I would of given 5 stars if the right book came with it.

Very nice tape measure
Very nice tape measure! Using this tape is much easier than my others, and the magnet at the end was a nice bonus. It's funny watching other people use my tape measure. When they are finished, they look down at it, and you can see them mumbling the brand name.

Paint easily flakes off
It’s a tape measure, what more do you want. However it has extreme potential it seem like it was a very good quality had a magnet at one end and I thought it be perfect. However I got it slightly damp once and it no longer wants to retract and the paint is actually peeling off it and you can no longer see Increment Marks. I only used it maybe 10 times so it is no longer any good in certain spots.

Not made in the USA.
I bought this believing the product description that says it is made in the USA. The square has USA printed on it so I don’t know about it. The tape measure plainly says on the packaging that it is made in China. It is very heavy and the end is so loose and spins around so much I doubt the measurement accuracy. For me, made in the USA still means something and I am disgusted by the deceptive description.

Won't retract
I wanted to like this tape measure. But after using it a half dozen times it won't retract the tape anymore. Don't buy it, there are better ones on the market.

Instruction Book
I bought mainly for the instruction book, it was cheaper to buy as part of a package, than to buy separate.It was a good purchase and the instruction book is godsend to anybody new to doing roof rafters etc I would buy again from this seller and would recommend this seller
