It's thick and looks great in my desserts. You can use it in so many different recipes. It's not overly sweet, I find the sugar content to be about perfect. The fruit filling is a good value. I like adding about 1/2 tsp apple pie spice to 2 cans of pie filling and spreading it in the bottom of a greased 9X13 (or sprayed) baking pan. Cover the pie filling with a dry yellow, white, or spiced cake mix. I use basic yellow. Slice a stick of butter in very thin strips or shred an almost frozen stick of butter. Cover the entire cake mix and place in a 350-degree preheated oven until golden, about 50 minutes. Enjoy. Seriously good stuff! In addition to the apple pie spice, for more flavor you add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Your choice. The pie filling is delicious and versatile. Was nice without being overly sweet!

Not many fruit pieces, lots of thickened juice.
Tasted great, but filling definitely not "home made". I always slice apples and dot with butter, add raisins and a few drops lemon juice. this was more just sweet. i would buy again to save time cooking.

The apples pieces were big and firm. This mixture had no flavor so I added sugar and cinnamon and it was great.

The cans were severely dented. I could not use them! Very disappointed!
