Pattern Name:Tie-down with Nylon Loop The tie-down tool will help teach your dog good manners and foster calm behavior. When used correctly, the tie-down will also help keep your dog out of trouble. The tie-down is NOT a substitute for training, but is rather a tool to help prevent problem behaviors and instill good habits. It can help with: Housetraining Front Door Manners Barking Separation Anxiety Begging at the dinner table Jumping Up Counter Surfing Introduction of a new pet Destructive chewing Mouthing The tie-down is a temporary management tool used to teach good behavior, prevent problem behaviors and help your dog learn how to relax and settle in one place. The tie-down is a short (3 foot long) plastic coated cable that has clips on both ends, and is normally attached to an immovable object such as a heavy piece of furniture or an eye screw installed into the wall. The tie-down should only be attached to your dog's flat buckle collar. Leash or rope tie-downs are not recommended since many dogs chew through them. You get an exclusive Tie-down booklet to help install and use the product. The booklet is valued at $5, but you get it for FREE! Also, you will get access to our Good Doggy website where you can get many more helpful information to help you understand your puppy / dog.

Works great for keeping puppies within arm's reach
This tie out works perfectly for my puppy to keep her near me while I work at home. The only negative to it is that the snaps that snap to the collar and whatever else are pretty big. They are probably fine for most dogs, but for my 3-pound puppy, they are somewhat oversized. She's a good sport, though. I just wish it came in a "tiny dog" version!

Strong cable, easy to attach, some concerns about chew-through
A decent cable for linking dog to eye bolts in areas where it wouldn’t be safe for them to romp. It’s likely strong enough to keep any dog from breaking it through tugging alone, but my lab mix is already making some progress chewing through the clear plastic sheath when my back is turned. Have used for about six weeks. The hooks are smaller and less hefty than I’d hoped, but they’re holding up thus far. Probably best suited to small/medium non-chewing dogs

Great Value!
This is exactly what we wanted after having used the same exact ones at our Wonder Dog Training courses for our small 4-month Boston Terrier puppy in Portland. I also think these are definitely the best value of everything else that i've looked at as many other brands don't do the double-ended sliding clips which gives me the versatility of doubling up if I only want Henrik to stay put in a tiny area of his potty-paper or whether I want to utilities the full 3 feet which for a puppy is actually quite a lot of radius distance.

Durable
After 2 months of daily use to teach a very energetic, mouthy puppy to settle down- it's still in great shape. Pup's not crated in some other room while we eat or watch a movie etc, she can be with us but not into everything, and we can redirect her chewing back to her toys. She's learning to go to her spot to quietly chew bones now and settle down without being tethered. Perfect.

Works as Intended - Read the Instructions and Understand the Concept
Our dog was begging at the table and we were looking for something to help. The 3ft tie-down is just the size to allow our little Maltese to be with the family comfortably, but keep him/her from begging. We are also using it to help with visitors coming to the front door. The tie-down is a great training aid for us while we are instilling the good behaviors.

So helpful!
Easy to use, durable, & helps keep silly puppies within eyesight! It’s not reasonable to think you can watch your puppy 24/7. This simple solution helps secure my goofball on his mat. He can calmly enjoy a nice chew toy & I can get a few things done without tripping over him or wondering what he’s getting into (this time!)

Something like this should last decades
My 30 lbs dog was able to put kinks in cable in a few days. This will cause rust, then weakness, then fail. Something like this should last decades, but I hope to get just a few years out of it.

Good training tool.
Updated review: The original tie down I purchased had a faulty clasp that broke on the first use. However, the company was kind enough to send a replacement. I appreciate their attention to the matter and am happy to have a working tie-down once again. Thank you!
