Nice book for little kids.

My husband, who is from Spain, says that this is a decent Spanish translation of Dr Seuss, which is a challenge given the rhyme and absurd nature of these books in English. I will give it as a gift to a bilingual child aged 4-5 years old for his Spanish parent to read to him. Note this is NOT a parallel text and there is NO English text in here at all- just Spanish. It retains the rhyme and rhythm of the original English version I think, having listened to it being read by a native speaker on YouTube. I read the reviews on Amazon prior to buying and found them very helpful. I also bought 'Heuvos verde con jamon' and that one looks great too. Both books have plenty of repetition, particularly the latter, which make them good for engaging primary aged bilingual children, or children learning Spanish as a second language. I am hoping these will help build vocabulary and an enjoyment of listening to Spanish bedtime stories! They are really silly, encourage imagination and will make a Spanish speaking child (or adult) laugh!

Le encanta y me parece a mi muy bueno. Ha empezado a leer con él y estoy muy contenta. Además hace reflexionar un poco también a mayores.

Como todos los libros de Dr. Seuss - Muy bueno. Perfecto para ninos que memorizan en lugar de aprender a leer. La version original en ingles no se podra igualar, pero es un buen intento.

La calidad del libro es excelente, las pastas duras, los colores vibrantes, y la traducción impecable. Lo compré para mi niño de 5 años que está justo en la etapa de aprender a leer, pero no solo él lo disfruta, sino también sus hermanos de 3 y 7 años. La lectura es muy amena y los dibujos hermosos. Sin duda pienso comprar más libros del Gato en el Sombrero. Altamente recomendable.
