Can this blade be sharpened with an angle grinder after it has been reversed?

Most blades can be sharpened at home. This one should be no different, however, blade sharpening should be done by hand with files rather than an angle grinder for maximum control and best results.

Why isn't it sharp out of the package? Is this normal?

Yes it is. You can sharpen it if you like. The concern I guess is you will heart yourself if its too sharp. It cuts the way it is.

1. Are there instructions on how to install the blade 2. Is a special tool needed to install the blade

This blade will not attach to the same arm as the string trimmer. It requires a different attachment. Once you have the correct brush attachment it is easy to install. No special tools.
