Keeps Ruby Bug-Free
I have been using this product for years, and here is why:Easy application, with very detailed application instructionsCuts back the number of biting flies that come after my horseKeeps ticks offWith the warm winter we had last year, the bugs were especially terrible this summer! Our barn was spraying down the horses daily and setting bug traps. While the other horses were running and bucking all day in the fields, mine was minding her own business and eating grass. My barn owner asked me why the bugs didn't seem to bother Ruby, and I recommended this product to her. It really does seem to work! Does it keep all the bugs off? No. BUT, I think Ruby only had 2 ticks the entire season, and it seemed to keep the big black horse flies from biting her (however, the little green flies I refer to as "deer flies" were still come around). The three doses last me the entire summer- I usually give her a new does every 6-8 weeks. If you have not done so, I highly recommend that you try this product.

etc and picking them off I felt like I was fighting a losing battle
My horse was infested with ticks and I needed something to kill them- he had hundreds of bites, scabs, etc and picking them off I felt like I was fighting a losing battle. After a week of trying herbal repellents (I am against poisonous chemicals on my animals) I had to move to a more aggressive option as I was worried about my horse getting tick-borne illnesses and this year they seem worse than ever. I used Equi-Spot (was happy I didn't need scissors to open the applicator) and easily applied drops to strategic locations on my horse as instructed on the box. Two days later NOT ONE LIVE TICK was on my horse! Not even the unattached crawling ones. I found only one that was dead but still attached. I will use this as recommended until we are safely out of tick season.

This was okay
I had real high expectations and this product was not exactly what I expected. I have three horses and one tube for each horse is suppose to get rid of the fly problem for two weeks at least and then you have to re-apply this product. I saw the fly problem in the second week before I was suppose to reapply. This is a bit too pricey for me. Maybe it would work better for someone living in a different area than Kentucky but I definitely can't afford to buy this for three horses every two weeks and then see flies on them in the second week. I guess it may depend on where you live or maybe what you can afford to spend.

Seems to be working pretty good
Just moved to Missouri from Texas. We didn't have ticks where I lived so when I found my horse covered in ticks I did some asking around at the stable and the barn manager recommended this product. Bought it, used it and no more ticks and trust me she had them bad. I haven't had it long enough to know how often I need to reapply but from what I have read 3 weeks is pushing it. I plan on keeping her prepared rather than waiting for the onset so 2 weeks will do.

Fly Control
We are breeders of the rare Lambert Morgan horses, 100% foundation horses and the flies were so bad this year we needed something more than just fly spray. (also some of the horses didn't like the idea of something being sprayed on them) so a friend shared with us about Equi-Spot. It was very easy to apply and the horses stood perfectly still during application. Even our weanlings were able to get relief. I would recommend it to anyone.

THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYERS. COMBINE WITH FLY PREDATORS AND NO FLIES....
We use this in conjunction with Fly predators which take a couple of seasons to get working, but boy does it make a difference! Not seeing your horses swishing tails, stomping their feet and shaking heads is a relief! This stuff works on ticks too! We lost a mare to Lyme disease and I will do anything to keep our others safe. The ticks were awful this year (we had them on us) but the horses were free of ticks this year!Use Fly Predators and this and you will see a few flies, but no more than at a normal outdoor event... ugh unlike years previous where the fly masks, spray all the time that didnt work, and still flies EVERYWHERE!!! NO MORE SINCE COMBINING THESE TWO ITEMS!

Good to keep the ticks from attaching.
I bought this to keep the ticks at bay when my horse was turned out to a large, rough pasture in a area with a lot of Lyme disease. I have seen a few ticks on him but none of them had attached. He is a draft horse who had his tail docked before I bought him, so I also use a high quality bug spray and SmartBug-Off Pellets. I noticed early in the season when the flies were not super thick, the pellets were enough but at the height of the fly season, he needs a additional help. So, I can say this is good for tick control but on its own I cannot say it is good for fly control.
